  1. Hi emc.. You need to set up a Supervised User. This is no longer limited to Chrome Beta: the latest stable Chrome release lets you add supervised users. They're just like regular Chrome users, except that they're attached to your Google account and you can block sites and check their browsing activity from a Google page. This could be used as a parental control feature and it's more useful if you have a Chromebook. So in essence we agree.. Not suitable.. and profit being put before well- being. Human rights is a misconceived term. It can be open to abuse. I'm not sure if people who abuse the rights of others are entitled to them themselves. I would prefer to use Humane Rights The right for all people to be treated Humanely. DF

What are you talking about. 'Snide remarks about prisoners' 'your ignorant prejudice' Are you drunk. ?? I was stating 'Prisoners have rights.' I did not mention rightly or wrongly. You said. 'Foxy, there is no human right to exercise.' Well there should be. For prisoners AND children. See you describe yourself on Twitter as.... "I'm an uncompromising, revolutionary, eco-warrior" That would explain a lot. :) DF

LD.. Why do people here take everything so literal (taking words in their usual or most basic sense without metaphor or exaggeration.) They are throw away statements... Meant to be taken with some literary license. IE. Every time I go out I get soaking wet. reply: I know what you mean. :) Not actual fact. I suppose it is difficult to understand the intention of the written word. The same conversation spoken with vocal inflection would give more understanding of true intent. DF
  8. Used to see the mounted police at some Millwall games.. Now considered redundant for that purpose and no longer needed. Usually only 1/2 dozen police outside these days. DulwichFox

I really don't give a damn what they build there.. Open Prison if they want... No.. could not be a prison as lack of exercise space would be against Prisoners Human Rights.. Kids do not have rights.. do they. ? Get my point. ? DF.

Just expressing my concern. I have never been involved with anything purely out of self interest. Early Grave.. ? At my age , I'm already on borrowed time.. :) Many of my old mates have already slipped away. Live long.. Beer... Curry... Kebabs... Foxy.
  16. Yes Sue it's a different budget. But .. The council has a certain amount of money and THEY decide how much money goes to each budget. SO.. More money for schools .. Less for Totem Poles. I have to budget my money. No good telling the Council I cant pay my Council Tax because all my money goes into my Beer Budget. Foxy

Foxy was the first to express the unsuitability of this site for a school and got knocked back. Nothing new there. In an age of increasing Childhood Obesity, certain vote seeking councillors seem to be in favour of building a school with very little exercise space. Exercise is as essential as any academic requirement. In fact exercise has been proven to improve academic achievement. Not a case of NIMBYism as someone suggested.. Typically Council spending money on Totem Poles. Allowing a Commercial Giant to take over every Educational Establishment, while other school can't find the money to buy Books. Losing the will to live.. DulwichFox
  22. Was a day when bicycles had bells to warn pedestrians.... Judging by the amount of idiots riding no hands .. (I've even seen a cyclist on LL. Texting as he went along.) Would seem a bell on the handle-bars would be of little use. Would seem for some the only reason bicycles have handle-bars is somewhere to fit the brakes. DF.
  23. Hi Michael.. Are we meeting in the EDT ?? Foxy
  24. I had a small blue box which I put bottles and cans in... And a blue bag for paper which I kept indoors to stop it getting wet.. The Bin men threw bag in the back of the truck and when I confronted them they said I could not use it any more. I even used to remove labels from tins, which was a waste of time as all the bottles cans and paper go in the truck together. They also advised that they would no longer accept the blue boxes.. I now have a 140 ltr Blue Bin.. The smallest one they do. It will take me 2-3 months to ever fill the thing up. Foxy.
