Yes.. could be your rads just need bleeding.. might need to top up boiler pressure. (sealed systems) You can do this yourself and will not cost anything. (well ?3 for a rad key.) Foxy

It is not that straightforward and will take the best part of a day or more if there are problems. The first thing to consider is if your boiler can handle an extra radiator. It could be that the reason your home is cold is the boiler is already struggling with the rads. you have now. You will need additional piping and by-pass piping so the water flows if the radiator is turned down/ off This will inevitably involve taking up floorboards. / carpets removing furniture. This will take a lot of time. You will probably need to drain the entire system especially if the new rad. is downstairs, This may be a problem if there in no drain tap fitted. Draining the system takes time.. You will loose all your inhibitor which will need replacing. Extra cost. The radiator needs to be fitted connected up. The system needs to be refilled and can take several hours to vent all the rads. deal with air locks in the system and the boiler. The system may need re-balancing. The system will need to be brought up to full heat and checks for water leaks carried out before the floorboards can be put back. You will need a plumber. a carpenter if joist need to be cut. Would estimate ?400.00 - ?600.00 .. But could easily be more. DulwichFox.

Away with your clique nonsense. Given that you seem friendly to my face in person and yet you spout stuff like this on here, who is the two-faced one? How strange that your Vanity should make you feel I was referring to yourself. :) I'm polite to everyone .. but not afraid to speak my mind when face to face. I do seem to remember trying to discuss an issue with you in person. Your words were. 'Not here, we are not on the Forum now.' Well I will discus Most things (Not Religion) with anyone , anytime, anywhere. DF

What really concerns me is the piles of blooded chicken. I feel it may well be that it does not all get sold by the end of the day. Is it then sent to be destroyed ? or does it get stored back in a refrigerated compartment or even non-refrigerated compartment only to be put back on display the next day with more food added to the pile.? Who Knows. ?? DulwichFox

Not in its current form.. It was once.. get permit .. turn up on the day .. pay the market inspector. It was mostly Bric -a -brac more like a boot sale.. Not many new goods.. no food. and it it's current form. still survive without using it. DulwichFox -
With chicken carcasses piled high and foul smelling fish I certainly would not by food from any outlet on Rye Lane. Fresh Fish should Not smell of Fish. It should smell of the sea. By comparison, on a recent visit to Brixton, I strolled through the so called 'Brixton Village' There were two Wet Fish Shops where the Fish on display smelt fresh and looked fresh. Eyes bright and clear. Fish being laid out on ice and clearly labeled and priced up. Rye lane is disgusting .. Many outlets need to be closed down. DulwichFox

Wing Mirrors broken - Northcross Road
DulwichFox replied to HelenG's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
This is becoming a lot more frequent, but has been happening for a few years now. Walking home up North Cross Rd. from Lordship Lane , I'm frequently met by groups of lads/lasses walking in the other direction, behaving in what could me called a Boisterous manner. Like 'Just Having a Laugh.' Often carrying bottles of beer. Same behaviour can be seen elsewhere on the lane mostly at week ends. There seems to be a direct link with downing a 'Jager-Bomb' and then expressing the desire to Smash up the Pub, kick over a Bar stall or hit someone. Often accompanied by the need to 'Powder ones Nose' every 30mins. It's up to pubs and bars to make sure people drink responsibly. Most encourage kids to drink shots. It make them huge profits. And others pick up the cost come closing time. DulwichFox. -
North Cross Road Market (where's it gone?)
DulwichFox replied to Ron70's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Have lived in East Dulwich since 1980... 34 Years. So I survived 30 years without a market. The market has not changed my lifestyle or added anything to my well being. It is just a few stalls. It's not a big issue if it is not there for one day. Just take a big breath. Lay down in a dark room. It will back next week. DulwichFox. -
Think there may still be a H Samuels in Surrey Quays where there is Free parking.. Having said that, it may well of gone now as have some other outlets. Having been to Surry Quays this morning. Can confirm H. Samuels still there.. DulwichFox

DulwichFox or Foxy is Not my actual name so can only be refered to in the Third Person. When I reply or send PM's I use my real name and I. People still refer to me as Foxy. What can I do ? :) Right that is the last I will post on the matter. DulwichFox. -
