  2. With the Plough at one end of the Rainbow and the Clock House at the other. Two little pots of Gold. :) Foxy
  3. Well it is called Segregation... It happens here every Saturday at every football match where opposing travelling fans are kept apart. There is a walkway from South Bermondsey Station to the Millwall Ground. Only Away Fans can use it. Millwall fans have to walk the long way round. And of Course fans sit in separate areas. Foxy..
  4. First I would like to thank Michael P. for organising last night. Was a good turn out and once again great company. I'm feeling fine.. The Food was not good. Cold Plates.. My Curry was stone cold. Tasted like the the vinegary paste you get in supermarket jars. My Onion barghi was dry .. and cold. Poppadoms were Hard .. and cold Mushroom rice was greasy. Roti was just a hard crisp. Staff were indifferent. And it is the most expensive.. curry house Have not been there for over 8 or so years because I had a poor meal then. Pretty dismal.. Will not be going back. Foxy. :(
  5. I would imagine it's ?50k to buy the lease... as KK has said. Would depend on how long the lease was for. Then its down to the Lease holder to foot the bills. To pay rent / business rates / water rates / electricity bills / insurance If the business fails you are stuck with the bills 'till you can re-sell the lease. Foxy

Sure you are not that sorry. :) Bear in mind, the Ivy House will need regular patronage. Else it will go the same way. No good people going there once a week, at weekends . Foxy
  7. Clipboards are not really for People who knock on doors... Clipboards have a more Clandestine use.. Used by those who need to air an appearance of importance... Often they may walk up and down appearing to count things with a gentle wave of their pencil. (Has to be a pencil) They will be suited and booted with a loud tie. They will exercise great care not to reveal exactly what they are counting and will remain aloof if approached. The technique can be used to convince ones boss you are busy should he pay your workspace a visit. Have used it myself so know it works. Foxy

It can be ruined by just a few anti-social beings.. Then it is a slippery slope to becoming a Slum. Rubbish, Graffiti, Dog Poo. East Dulwich has it all. I moved to E.D. in 1980. It was a LOT nicer and a LOT cleaner back then. DulwichFox
  9. Bollards in Dulwich Village.. See pic. I know which I prefer.. DulwichFox
  10. James Barber Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi Foxy, > Is it an issue using iPads in public? Hi James Apple software as I understand is less prone to Virus attack.. Ipads / Ipods tend not to have Anti-virus software.. When it comes to Network Security I am not too sure. Dedicated 'Hackers' have equipment that can detect activity on a Public Wi-Fi.. If your e-mail is open they can then 'latch on ' to your account via your IP/MAC address. Then even if you log out of your e-mail they will still have access. Whereas Windows PC's will have File Sharing either enabled/disabled. Apple uses iCloud and iTunes where there may be a security problem once someone has gained access to your device. Do not know enough about this very sensitive subject. Foxy
  11. Always a danger when using Public Wi-Fi. How to Stay Safe on Public Wi-Fi Networks http://lifehacker.com/5576927/how-to-stay-safe-on-public-wi+fi-networks Foxy

If you allow even ?Talented Artists? to scrawl on the wall then you open the door to anyone. Needs to be nipped in the bud before it gets out of control. Bit late for that I feel. I do not think the folk in Dulwich Village would put up with it. DulwichFox
  13. Last Try.. The Crimson Petal and the White (2011) Wendy Nottingham ... Miss Beatrice Cleave The Sherlock Character .. Mark Gatiss ? Foxy.
  14. Gonna need a bigger boat.. :) Foxy.
  15. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Got out of bed the wrong side again, Foxy? :) No.. Graffiti , litter , vandalism are just my pet hates. I do not want to live in a slum. Perhaps I just need to drink more to make sense of it. Might of thought it was. 'Far Out Man' in '68 Oh wow man, look at the Bollards .... Doing my 'ead in man. Just seen Ginger Baker in the Sky... :) All Grown Up now... Foxy

  18. I was at Dulwich Hamlet last night.. Have been before for a Millwall clash... Thought the crowd was bigger than on other occasions... Great game.. Good Result. Foxy.
  19. It starts by painting a few bollards and ends up like this.. Southwark Council is allowing a few vandals to turn E.D. into a Ghetto. http://cdn.onextrapixel.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/elizabeth-street-nyc-graffiti.jpg Foxy
  20. Download Adobe Reader from Adobe Free. http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/ You will not be able to create New PDF Documents but will be able to convert existing PDF documents to Word Format. DulwichFox

  22. So without the painting, the bollards are drab... But why are they there.. They do not stop children running into the road. ?? So we waste money putting bollards there, then waste more money getting someone to paint them. Foxy
  23. Where are we meeting for drinks.. ??? Foxy
