  1. My mail delivered today with one of the letters (a hospital appointment) left sticking out the letterbox. Keeps happening. Have spoken to the post(man) 3 times now. Could not give a S**te DulwichFox
  2. Evidently The #RevokeArticle50 petition can be signed as many times as you like with a different email address. The remaniner cry babies fail to point that out. The 2016 actual vote could only be voted on ONCE

You only joined the forum in Feb 2019 You have 77 posts 73 for the 2 Word games threads. What knowledge of Louisa/Loutwo's historic postings do you have. ?? Are you qualified to make such comments about her. DulwichFox

I would vote for Labour but NEVER with Corbyn in charge. If there were to be a General Election I simply would not vote. DulwichFox
  9. Living in an Urban area It is a privilege to see these beautiful creatures. I too feed the Foxes. Mostly when they are about late at night. They wait outside my house for me to home late at night and sometimes follow me up my road when they know I have food. They like spicy Hot chicken wings. They do not like Spare Ribs. They are very timid but they seem to recognise me. They are scared of cats and pose very little threat to your pets. There is a lot more Domestic Dog Poo around than Fox Poo. Fox poo is a lot smaller. In Winter Foxes will catch and eat mice. In summer they eat lots of insects like crickets, beetles and caterpillars as well as frogs Only a quarter of foxes live to be two years old, 12% to three years, 6% to four years, and very few make it beyond six years. Many are killed in road traffic accidents. People need to be a lot more tolerant to our Foxes. DulwichFox

I'm all for Encouraging the growth greenery for insects, butterflies and Bees. But that has to be managed and garden waste needs to be recycled. Southwark Council do recycle garden waste and food waste and turn it into compost. They now Sell that compost at their Devon Street Depot. So why should residents pay to have that waste taken away, It's the same old story. Create a situation that charges people (on top of their Council Tax) for a service or FINE them if they decide not to recycle and burn their waste. DulwichFox
  11. I think Southwark Council must have committees whose soul purpose is to dream up new schemes to raise money. Most of these are aimed at Motorists, Parking and the like. But we are told not to Pave over our gardens to improve drainage, Encourage the growth greenery for insects, butterflies and Bees. Then Ban the burning of garden waste with the possibility of Fines. Then.. If we put garden waste in our garden waste bins we will now be charged. Good Old Labour run Southwark Council.
  12. completely forgot to do this weeks predictions.

    Moths again

Despite being notorious for eating clothing, most moth adults do not eat at all. They do not have mouths. The Larvae do the damage. Once developed they spend most of their short lives breeding. The Females cannot fly, they just jump around. The Males Can fly. DulwichFox

Very kind These are the first 3 posts in this thread, 1 Does anyone know what the heck happened with this failed venture? 2 I was thinking the same. Did it ever actually open? 3 They opened but then had to close to re work some of the electrics and said they'd re open later. They did not recieve any bad comments and one does suggest there WAS a problem with the Electrics. There are a couple of sad people here who have a personal grudge against myself. I'm not too concerned. Having used the previous establishment Curry Cabin for 46 years. I used it back in 1972 and was there on the night it closed with the Curry Club. I was aware of the poor state the dining area had become. Never went to the kitchen. but was never ill after several 100's / 1000+ ?? curries over the years. I was keen to see what the new owners did with the place. As I knew the Christmas tree man outside the shop I stopped daily to chat and at the same time kept up with the progress of work. I was impressed with the work that was being done. I know how much these things cost. I've spent over ?16,000 up grading my own domestic kitchen, Units, Flooring, Ceilings Windows and doors. Electrics Plumbing. and the need to get it right first time. I really hope the owners are able to sort things out soon and reopen. Its in a good spot and could do well. Looked in again today but sadly no sign of work in progress, ?? DulwichFox
  17. I have not replied due to ill health. I took a break before Xmas because of serious illness. I have been in Hospital and had a procedure which could or could not extend my life. After 2 CT Scans, 1 MRI Scan, 4 endoscopies 4 biopsies and a surgical procedure Kings have not been able to ascertain If I have a Life threatening malignant IPMN in my Pancreatic Duct. or what is called a Pancreas divisum which is a congenital anomaly (an anomaly that is present at birth) of the pancreatic duct(s). I have had a Stent inserted that will need another operation to remove. They may insert another stent which will require a 3rd operation to remove. I am in intense pain and my pancreas may need to be removed leaving me dependent on insulin and digestive enzymes. How ever Kings do not think I am well enough to survive that procedure. So I'm sorry but I have more things to worry about than that of when a new restaurant will reopen Chances are I will not be here by the time it does. I will say no more on the subject. I trust you will give me a break. I suspect there are a couple of people here that will continue to kick a man when he's down. DF

Well when you rewire any building you do it when the floors are up and the ceilings are down. Wiring goes in the walls before they are re-plastered. This would seem to me wasn't done.
  19. It opened for 3 - 4 days but as I understand it, the electrics failed. Should of been rewired before all the building works were carried out. Bit late now. Sounds like it will all need redoing. Its what happens when you take short cuts.

  21. As a member of The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) I regularly sell Raffle Tickets to raise funds. Having collected money (cash) for ticket sales I need to pay the money collected and my own donations and membership fees. The eaiest way is by cheque. I seldom actually use cheques for anything else. Foxy.
