  2. I think we should consider ourselves lucky that the EU hasn't banned milk being sold in Pints. From today, my 2400W Morphy Richards Vacuum cleaner has been banned. DulwichFox

  7. I tried FM Mangal last year.. Waited ages to get Menu. Was given some Fried Onion dish which was VERY salty and cold. Pita bread was Cold greasy and again Salty. Opted for Lamb Iskender. Meat was gristly / bony. I lost a filling eating my food. I was sat up stairs, no other customers in the restaurant. 3 -4 Turkish guys arguing loudly Shouting over Business issue. Bad experience. never been back and never will go back. Worst Turkish ?? food ever. Possible worst restaurant ever. Have been travelling to Turkey for 25 - 30 years. Speak more than a little Turkish. Certainly more than the staff do there. Avoid at all cost. DulwichFox

Wasn't being critical but as YOU have brought this to light you actually said 'St B is only a couple of hundred meters (if that) In fact (according to Google Maps) it is 247 Mtrs. More than 200mtrs So I was NOT splitting hairs. Foxy.
  9. Many Indian Spices originated from Portugal and South America. Tikka similar but not as spicy as Piri-Piri Foxy

  13. It amuses me how many Experts we have on EDF with regards to the authenticity of our Indian / Bangladeshi food. How many of these Experts have ever been to India let alone Bangladesh. With 60 - 80+ Indian Food Regions, I doubt they could identify the differences between any of them. Yes, they may go on about 'Real' Southern Indian food, but what do any of them really know about Indian food. Please give it a rest. There are many 'Asian' curry houses in East Dulwich. Some are better than others. But it comes down to individual taste and preference. If you do not like what's on offer, don't go there. DulwichFox

  16. It did not have a Pub for nearly 2 years.. or was it longer. ? Does it have a Church ? A village without a Pub and a Church is not a village IMHO. It's a place where people live.. Not a place many people go to. Why would they.
  17. K&W has definitely taken a nose dive.. Factory made Doner. Watery Chilli sauce. Salad Good fresh. Hisar Mangal Meat quality Very Good. Salad is Dreadful.. Always poor. I have sat in (the t/a place) Same poor salad with a nasty dressing that I cannot work out what it is. ? Strong Lemon taste. I always get ask for Every thin separate. I don't want hot salad. Chilli sauce in a tiny pot. They always give one pot of Chilli sauce and another pot of Yogurt ?? They want swop the Yogurt for a second Chilli pot. Haven't been to main Hisar for a long time. Prices have more than doubled over the last few years. Foxy
  18. In a certain local Chinese Restaurant there is no evidence of the clack-clack-clack of Woks. All the food is served in Plastic Microwavable containers. No Foil containers. I think they may of disabled the give-away 'PING' But then I'm a Cynical so and so. Foxy
  19. Watching Ken Hom on TV. He does not use steel a steel wok on TV. He uses a Non-stick Wok like I now have but still tells us to get it VERY Hot and smoking. I had a Steel Wok but it has gone really 'Manky' inside and out. Cannot clean it. Food stuck to it has carbonised. Foxy
  20. I was in the EDT last night. 8.45 - 10-30ish no one ejected during that time, that I was aware of. Having said that, the EDT was Rammed last night and there was an air of unease. Very rowdy, loud. Someone else commented 'we are getting all the idiots from The ******* in here recently.' It was getting even busier as I was leaving. Foxy. ETA. Worth remembering it is the end of the month (last Friday) and many people would of just been paid. Everywhere on L.L was busy last night including on the street.
