  2. I find the Fish and Chips at Sema and Emily?s grim. None of my family can eat it. We take a trip to Ken?s to pay a fortune for the fish and chips there. Still not the best compared to all the lovely fish and chips we consumed in Dorset but the best out of a bad bunch around here. Anyone tried the fish and chips at Saucy on LL?

  4. Great....more pizza☹️. Though it looks like they have a dance floor and music in the basement. sheff Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Looks like the new Sylvesters is going to be doing > ?booze + pizza? > More pizza choice, excellent > > https://www.sylvesterrestaurants.co.uk/
  5. Walk to Durlston Castle from Swanage near the pier. It?s about a twenty minutes or so scenic walk. You get to see Tilly Whim caves, The Globe, Castle and bay. It?s stunning. https://www.durlston.co.uk/ We also got an open top bus from outside Swanage Train Station and you get to go on the car ferry and take in views from Sandbanks, Studlands, Poole and Bournemouth. We also took a boat from Swanage Pier to Poole, got to see Old Harry?s Rock and lots of activities on water. Durdle Door is a must but wear proper walking boots as the incline going up and down to Durdle Door is a bit of a killer on the legs/feet.
  6. Given that Prince Harry made a request for the media to be respectful towards Meghan when they were dating and he voiced his upset at the prejudiced comments made towards her, I don?t think that photo was appropriate. I doubt they would find it amusing given the abuse she has endured from trolls due to her mixed heritage. Thankfully a lot people seems to be in agreement that the post was made in bad taste (judging by most of the comments when the photo was posted)so that in itself is reassuring.
  7. Put your food waste in the freezer when the bag is full and then transfer it to the brown food caddy the night before or in the morning. It?s stops the smells and won?t attract foxes etc.
  8. As someone who is mixed, I found it quite offensive. Did he post photos of a monkey for the other royal births? If someone posted that photo to replicate the birth of my child, I would not be laughing. It just wasn?t funny. I call my child a cheeky monkey so it?s nothing to do with not ever being able to use the word monkey. It?s a case of who is saying it and in what context. A stranger who doesn?t know me and who is white calling me a monkey, is different to say my mum calling me a cheeky monkey. The whole going to the zoo to see monkeys line is just silly and not relevant nor the songs as my friends and I used to sing each other the monkey birthday song. The issue is, he chose an online platform to post a stupid photo that could be seen as quite prejudiced to a mixed couple. He isn?t a personal friend or a relative. As someone who is in the public eye, he needs to be a bit more considerate.
  9. What about our Christmas trees? Will we have to pay for that to be taken away?
  10. Gutted! It?s the bus I take to attend my many hospital appointments as the bus stop is near my house.
  11. How awful. Another one :(

  14. We also had that poor boy that was stabbed after visiting a party at Dulwich Hamlet. There was also a non fatal stabbing last year. Plus one by the train station and one in a hostel both fatal.
  15. Blimey! The pub does fancy dress events but I don?t think this is one of them! Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I think I just saw about 20 police in riot gear > marching at speed past the Great Exhibition pub. > Was I hallucinating?
  16. A complete tragedy and a life taken needlessly. Very close to home that these senseless deaths can occur anytime and anywhere. I?ve always felt safe here as I was born here so that familiarity can lure me into a false sense of safety especially when outside family members point out the crime rate here is very high compared to their areas but it?s hardly surprising with the shops and drinking establishments that Dulwich isn?t going to be crime free. ianjm Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Let me start by saying, of course this is a > terrible tragedy, but I agree with those saying > this doesn't mean Dulwich isn't relatively safe > with somewhat lower crime than the surrounding > areas. > > Have a look at: > http://a.plumplot.co.uk/?tab=crime_map_s&yr=-13&pc > =11&ct=15 > > SE22-8 has a crime level at 116% of the National > Average, and SE22-9 is 97% of the National > Average. 17. Because it was a sale and leaseback deal. Sounds rather complicated! 21. I think Mac Miller on North Cross Road sells them.
  22. Judging by the noticeboard outside Londis saying ?To Let?, I don?t think it?s currently going to be anything without anyone renting the building!
  23. I requested a redelivery and it actually got delivered! Yay!
