  1. Please don?t worry, I didn?t take it as a criticism at all, I was just surprised I missed that thread. 2. He certainly liked to do things differently and that is part of the charm. I like Rye Books too but I?m fond of Chener Books because it?s quirky and the kids section at the back has given my son lots of fun rooting through all the books. 3. Two abandoned yellow bikes on Frogley Road. Never seen them before today.
  4. Thanks Sue. I didn?t see that thread so I?ve only found out today via this thread.
  5. How awfully sad! My son was convinced John was Father Christmas even though John told him that he wasn?t. He has been part of Dulwich since I was a baby. It won?t be the same without him in Chener.
  6. We adore Charles at Paine and Hunter, he always makes my son feel at complete ease.

  9. I have psoriasis, quite bad to the point that steroids stopped working and I had to endure a form of chemo to clear. It took me two years to get over my steroids detox, my face was a mess and I only stick to natural remedies. I have to avoid all nightshades so no tomatoes, white potatoes (sweet potatoes is fine) no peppers and no aubergines. I also can?t have dairy, sugar or gluten. I find eating a mostly vegan/plant based/raw diet/green juices brilliant alongside taking D3 and Magnesium. I do fall off the wagon and flare badly if my naughty day turn into weeks but after a few months of sticking to a ?clean? diet I clear. I also find the London water harsh on my skin. I tend to find if I?m very restrictive I clear quicker then I can get away with the odd gluten treat as it?s too hard for me to cut it out forever. http://www.psoriasisbuddy.com
  10. It?s definitely not Fox Poo. I lived in Sussex and got fox poo there, they look and smell different. I?ve had cats so I know the difference and my neighbours here have had issues with cats using their gardens as toilets too. I?ve shooed the guilty party out of my garden enough time.
  11. Yes, it?s terrible when cats are locked out of their homes all day so that they don?t have access to their litter tray, or even worse, their owners don?t have a litter tray for them so they go and soil in other people?s gardens. There are people like me with children, who have spent a fortune on all different cat deterrents and months and months fighting a losing battle. We couldn?t use our garden as there was poo everywhere, not to mention the flies and it very got smelly in warm weather so the windows couldn?t be opened. I was spending every morning cleaning up poo from cats that aren?t mine. On top of that I have to spend a fortune replacing my artificial lawn in my courtyard because despite removing all the poo every day, it?s still stuck into the turf and cannot be removed despite spending a lot of money on cleaning products to remove the stains. I also had to spend money on a handyman to install the spikes. For cats that should be using cat litter trays. I used to have a cat before I moved here. My family have cats, we all use litter trays, our cats used them so we know they weren?t taking upsetting our neighbours by using their gardens. My child comes first and cats using my garden as a toilet is not acceptable. The cats are not recoiling in pain at the spikes, they simply do not go anywhere near my garden as they usually jump on a shed and then into mine. They now simple sunbathe on the shed and go elsewhere instead of leaping onto my fences. 12. I had to put those plastic spikes on top of my fences to stop the cats using my garden as a toilet. Fence Wall Spikes: Pack of 10 (4.5M to 13.5M) ? BROWN https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0046YJNCM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_AVCEBbBS209F8
  13. Absolutely utterly sad to read this. I actually asked her for information on her B&B for a future visit. My condolences to her family.
  14. Ended up chucking my Miele after the hose broke as it was useless from day once and I regretted selling my Henry prior to that. I ended up buying a Henry again. The dyson cordless is brilliant too for quick cleaning and the stairs if you can?t be bothered to plug in Henry.
  15. We loved the outside. The maze is quite small, we did this very quickly as it was so easy, whereas we always get lost and take ages at Crystal Palace Park! When we went there, they didn?t have all the additional bits outside so we just browsed the gardens but now that they have added all the new bits, I couldn?t say how long it would take. Hampton Court itself took us probably an hour and half maximum but as there isn?t actually much inside unlike Windsor and Kensington which is fully furnished and which we thoroughly enjoyed, we didn?t really linger around. I do think until 3pm should be ample time if you get there for when doors open as we had time to kill and we spent that in the gardens then went by the Thames to wait for our boat.
  16. We did this for my mum?s birthday. We got a train there and a boat from Hampton court to Westminister. It did take a few hours but great views, and there are toilets and a bar for snacks and drinks. The docking bay is very close to the Palace. We made sure we found where it was before we went inside the palace so that we didn?t get lost or miss the boat! We caught the boat at 3pm and went via http://wpsa.co.uk/thames-boats/hampton-court.asp It was ?7.50 for children and ?15 for adults. They only took cash but they reserve seats on the boat for you if you phone 020 89775702 or book online.
  17. Sounds like the same chap I saw outside little Sainsbury?s. He was sitting there with a pile of books scribbling away on a notebook.
  18. I have to agree that I thought Toffee was being picked on by Rendel. It seemed to stem from Rendel not liking what Toffee has to say on a thread and then carrying it through other threads that they both were active on. I?ve read Toffee posts and I was not offended by anything said. It?s a forum, people have different views.
  19. Check out Hannah Sillitoe https://mygoodnessrecipes.com
  20. I think you should tell him that he has a week to pay the wages due otherwise you will seek legal advice.
  21. I saw the price of their threading and was shocked. I?ll give it a miss as it?s a lot cheaper everywhere else.
  22. So no one knows for sure what it?s going to be?
  23. I take mine in to Co-Op.
  24. A B&B, you need to post the link. Will there be smashed avocado on sourdough bread for breakfast? Prefer Waitrose?s avocado but I?ll make do with Sainsbury?s. buddug Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I was on the forum for well over 10 years I think. > Happy days, most of the time!
