  1. Some of the children from our home educators group will be running a cake 🍰🎂🍭🍬 stall tomorrow on Friday 24th March 10-12pm outside East Dulwich community centre on Darrell road to raise money for comic relief. So if you are passing by do come and support them by buying yourself a tasty treat! The address is: 46-50 Darrell Road, London SE22 9NL.
  2. Best shoes shop ever is Dorothy. She used to have a shop in Dulwich but is a direct bus to Dartmouth Road (Sydenham). https://www.facebook.com/Emmanuelle-Marshall-Childrens-Shoes-164994916895441/ We park around the corner.
  3. I've lost a key with my name on it today around SE22. Please PM if you found it. Thanks.
  4. Please join the Dulwich Home Ed group and we can answer questions on there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/DulwichHomeEd/ Though do drop Admin a PM so that you will be accepted.
  5. North cross market has an organic fruits and vegs on Saturdays .
  6. Seconded Farmdrop they are brilliant . Failing that I get an Ocado grocery delivery and they have a huge organic selection. Isn't Franklin's Farm Shop organic too ?
  7. You can Home Educate at any age. There is a huge Home Ed community in South East London, we even have our own sport day every summer at Crystal Palace Park. There are various Home Ed social and study groups , they are at Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground , East Dulwich Community Centre on Darrell Road, Dulwich Scout Hut , Robotic Engineering at Albrighton Road and so on. We have ice skating classes too , the list is endless . There are various active community pages on FB reflecting the large HE community whereby educational trips are organised weekly , summer holiday camps and so on . There are so many drop off study groups too where the children can study in groups of 6 or less . Some families follow the national curriculum , some are more free flowing , some have private tuitions , some attend the Home Ed school at Peckham Rye Park. Any other questions , let me know . 8. I'll PM you . I run the local Home Ed group for Dulwich.
  9. Knocked on my door last night , he wasn't aggressive but I wasn't happy to be disturbed at night during the holidays when I'm putting my child to bed .
  10. Does that mean their rent will be reduced ?
  11. Thank you . It's never open when I'm there.
  12. Has anyone been in ? What is it ? As it didn't look like a sweet shop as per the original rumours when I walked by ( doesn't appear to be open whenever I've passed by ). I have no idea what the shop is supposed to be though.
  13. I was more referring to Badgers Bakery , Truly Scrumptious Bakery, BlackBirds and the greasy spoons whereby you can grab a sandwich . 14. Never ever been tempted to try Subway, would rather grab a sandwich from M&S. I can't see it succeeding personally given all the other tastier places to eat on the lane with our cafes and bakeries but hey ho .
  15. Never heard of city mapper. I'll download it and check it out , thanks for the tip . Looks like the 176 it is . Thanks all, much appreciated :)
  16. Thank you all very much , how long is the walk as I will have my child plus two older relatives walking as well so I don't want to tire them out ?
  17. Hello, I have to go to The British Museum, Great Russell Street, London, WC1B 3DG this week but it looks very complicated to get to . Which is the quickest way to get there minus using the tube? Thanking you in advance .
  18. I only know of Milk and More who deliver . Alternatively Fruit and Vegs Delivery Schemes like Farmdrop will deliver milk along with your other goods and they tend to get their supplies directly from the farm .
  19. This made me laugh !😃 You are right .... Who cares ?! Toffee Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > FFS stop this thread. The co-op is the co-op, M&S > is M&S. 20. I'm not into ready meals at all , I buy fresh from Ocado/Waitrose plus Fruit/Vegs Box schemes . Co-Op to me is rank . I don't like any of their food from the fresh produces to the packaged stuff . I've always wondered how they stay in business but as they are the 'main' supermarket on the Lane most of us end up in Co-Op regardless . I have popped in M&S twice , and I have found the food to be really tasty which was a pleasant surprise . I'd happily pay more to eat their products if it's a choice between them or Co-Op. It's a great stop gap for me inbetween my Ocado deliveries . If only Waitrose would buy out Co-Op.......
  21. At long last an end to this whole M&S Saga. I wonder how long it will be before the next thread is started saying 'Co-Op to be a Waitrose'?
  22. It's a Food Hall opening next week .
  23. On Facebook they said The sales floor is 5,568 sq foot. dhistory Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > first mate Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Looks enormous inside...as big as co-op. > > Is it larger than the size authorised by the > planning permission?
  24. My son said that her music made him smile and he asked me for some money to give to her .
