  1. It does stink of a farm usually but today it was that mixed with the smell of the rotten vegetables unless those of us complaining of the smell have the nose of a bloodhound . It's been reported .
  2. I don't know what waste it is but it stinks every time it's parked locally and the crates today were filled with vegetables I think . The van is always filthy hence the stench .
  3. Has anyone else experienced the rather foul stench coming from a van marked Oaks Farm, Halstead Kent? I tried to google the farm online but it doesn't seems to be active . The van is often parked locally and the smell is so stomach churning that I cannot open my windows . Today the crates seems to be full up with food waste . I'm just struggling to understand why a farm van is transporting waste locally ?
  4. Those trolls always reminds me of my childhood . I think I'll miss them just for being stuck in a time wrap as its practically the only thing in Dulwich that hasn't changed since my youth .
  5. But it's super busy all the times as evident by the queues. Can we not do a petition or something ?
  6. GBK burgers are grass fed . So I expect the same of ML.
  7. Thank you for the extra members . It's refreshing to see lots of HE parents locally .
  8. I've heard great things about Oh Art! http://ohartproject.com
  9. How awful that the tumour wasn't found earlier . I'm not sure if I've seen him around but that is awfully sad .
  10. Just to let you know that buses and traffic cannot use Barry Road on junction to Goodrich road as its has been taped off by the police .
  11. Hello, I just wanted to share the Home Education social group for those that live in Dulwich , Forest Hill , Peckham , Camberwell and locally for social means such as play dates/trips and so on . I hope this is ok ? Do remove if not . Thank you . https://www.facebook.com/groups/697783030321191/
  12. I hope so too as we definitely need it !
  13. I have to say I was quite worried when I lived by the Coast of how I would be received by the locals but luckily everyone was very nice but I think that was probably helped by the fact that the area did have a mixture of people during holiday season but I was always quite aware that I'm the odd one out . My brother works all over the UK and has had racist comments made to him whilst out and about in certain areas within the UK. My nieces live on the border of Surrey/Sussex and they have had remarks made to them regarding their skin colour . The make up of an area would definitely influence where I would live since I have a child . We are a mixed family (half Caribbean ).
  14. There is 'B.N.P' scrawled on a front door on Matham Grove . There are idiots everywhere .
  15. By the way Bodsier, you can see the comment I left on that thread and draw your own conclusions to how you perceived me to be . Asking if I'm comfortable there is a very weird term to use ... Comfortable as in what ? Bashing the OP? As I didn't partake in that . As in drawing attention to the man's colour etc? As I didn't partake in that either . So no idea what you mean .
  16. I have no idea what you mean Bodsier.

THAT was the main point of the thread. Hear ! Hear ! But to be honest, it's the EDF and most threads do get ruined by the PC police who have to be 'extra'.
  18. I have friends from Vietnam who gets mistaken for Chinese , I have Russian friends who are asked if they are Polish and so on ... It's just so easy and innocent to do . It's not a crime .
  19. Personally I think people should stop trying to be 'TOO' PC. I took no offence to the original post at all . The world is huge and it's very difficult to be accurate as to someone's ethnicity so the majority of us will take a guess . It might not be accurate but it does narrow it down . I get asked if I'm from Brazil etc , do I take offence ? No as I don't expect people to know and no way would I take offence if someone said I'm black/Brazilian/Cuban/mixed/ Mexican etc with a London accent .
  20. And no, the black people I know don't think black means African, they see themselves different to Africans since they have their own culture . I'm half black by the way . The Black being West Indies.
  21. In that case we are all African since we all originated from Africa.
