Dulwich Born And Bred replied to lilolil's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I saw girls looking for shoes and clothes also a few months ago but it's not acceptable to trespass on someone else's property and go through their bins . -

Fire on lordship lane last night? May 15
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to krigh's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
No idea but I had two on my road last night and they were trying to track down where the fire was coming from and looked in a neighbour's garden as they could see smoke coming from somewhere , sounds like they must have tracked it down to end up at Franklins with four fire engines . -
Advice on fitted wardrobes please!
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to JulieW's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Definitely go for a carpenter . I recommend Carlos on 07791 035408. I don't usually recommend tradesmen from here as most aren't good but Carlos is great . -
I only feed the ducks with seed purchased from the Cafe but surely even those would encourage rats and pigeons still?

Have you tried eating best before crisps that are months old ? Its horrid . The fact they only got a 1 rating and still haven't improved must mean the authority know ? -
The Yellow Shop On CPR.
Dulwich Born And Bred replied to MittenKitten's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yep I went in there and informed him the whole box of McCoy crisps were off , he wasn't bothered . I noticed his scores on the doors is 1 http://www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk/business/east-dulwich-store--155923.html admittedly from two years ago but I can't see much improvement . I think someone needs to tell him less is more . -
Wow Tanza! Impressive amount . Hopefully they didn't chase after you both .
-
Ha ha ha just a shock as I have spent countless years going to Dulwich park and have never ever come across a rat on the bridge , more so one that chases after people . I have seen rats in Peckham and Belair but never Dulwich evidently nor have the others on here .
-
Had one running towards us at the park today ! Never ever seen that before .

Sophia , I have posted a thread regarding Charter. You can add your support via the contact details on there . I personally would liked to have had a choice in which school I feel would be better for ED, fair enough there is the steering group but I think all of the ED parents should have had a voice too . We are taken over by Harris and then are told to support Haberdasher . It seems to be a case of 'Accept Harris/Haberdasher or go without ' where is the choice ?

A family member has this as the cats and foxes were using her current lawn as a toilet resulting in us not being to enjoy the garden at all . We sent off for some samples of turf and were pleasantly surprised to see how realistic some of them looked. A realistic looking turf with a thick pile was chosen as it felt lovely and soft underfoot . Laying the turf was very easy and the garden looks wonderful. The children especially love the feel and always remove their shoes as it's so soft . Thankfully no cats and foxes have poop and hopefully they never will but if they do then the lawn can be hosed / washed down with disinfectant to make it clean again. I love it so much that I am getting it for my garden . I think it great as it looks good all year around, you can choose the style you want and the thickness. No mud , and no cats coming to your garden to bury their poos.

I am posting this on behalf of Manny : My name is Manny Amadi and I was a founder governor of The Charter School. At the time, my eldest child was just three, but I got involved because I believed strongly in the vision parents set out for an outstanding, inclusive school which would serve the needs of all children in our diverse local community. My eldest child is now in Year 13 at The Charter School and my youngest will start in year 7 in September. So it could be said that my journey is complete. However, as my fellow governing body members and I look at the latest application figures for The Charter School, we can see that whilst 179 local families will also be delighted that their child will be starting their secondary school career at The Charter School in September, just as many will be disappointed that their child didn't secure a place with us. The board of the Charter School Educational Trust now believes that for the first time, there is a viable way to meet the needs of many more local families. The Trust is therefore evaluating the option of making a bid to the Department of Education to run a free school, as part of the Charter family. The new school will serve the equally diverse community of East Dulwich. In our many conversations with families over the years and through recent research, we are aware that the local community of East Dulwich is looking for a new secondary school that will: * Serve the needs of the whole community by providing an exceptional educational experience * Welcome all children who live close to the school * Provide an environment where children are happy and feel safe and secure * Offer outstanding outcomes - academically, culturally and personally * Be financially secure and environmentally sustainable These are all attributes currently provided by The Charter School. We are very focussed on ensuring that any bid for a new school equally takes into account the views of our diverse local community, whilst also explaining how we can realise our vision. To that end we are holding an Information Evening on 28 April from 6 - 8pm at The Charter School. If you would be interested in coming along please can you book a place by emailing [email protected]. If you would like to register your support for this vision, please could you email [email protected] with the following information - your name, post code, and your child's date of birth. If appropriate, please indicate that a school created on behalf of the community by The Charter School Educational Trust would be your first choice. Yours faithfully, Manny Amadi, MVO Chair, New School Working Party - The Charter School Educational Trust For more information including key questions and answers, please visit [email protected] - and click on Department for Education icon.
