I believe, now this could just be a rumour, but it has something to do with the installation of a lift and losing old office space... but hey what would I know ;-)

In my attempt to put one of the blasted things (shredders) out of action it and colleague retaliated :( now holding a chilled botled of beer on injury... I know... any excuse :P I'm also considering suing colleague. my other career could b over!!!!

And now I'm injured :'( I tried the whole screwdriver attack thingy and lost :(

These last two weeks we've had constant shredding going on in the office (by the higher up ppl who have nothing to do but annoy those who are trying to get their work done). The place looks like we've been invaded by giant hamsters, my head is pounding and now theyve gone and bought ANOTHER bloody shredder!!!!! (6)

For everything else... mastercard... No seriously MelbourneGr is right. If she's happy to go with it then it is certainly good experience and something good for the CV :)

I'd be a bit concerned with the responsility being put on her in terms of being in charge of the security and lock up of the building and cashing up. I'm certainly not suggesting your daughter isn't capable but as mentioned earlier what about insurances? How would she be covered if anything went wrong? Also being left alone in the shop all day. How did they propose to give her breaks and what are her working hours? As a 17 yr old she shouldn't be working more than 8 hours a day or a total of 40 hours a week. I'm guessing during the 2 weeks the owners are set to be away longer hours will be required... Just things to think about when weighing up the pros and cons of this opportunity.

Ooooh I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice a slight increase of invasion recently. We don't usually suffer the bliters but these few weeks my furry monsters have taken great in chasing, catching and chewing them. I just assumed it's due to all the building work we're currently doing - waking them out of their little hidy holes as it were... Are we doomed?

Just out of interest but how many people have bothered to mention any of the issues mentioned in this thread? A business can't improve without feedback. If you have had a word what was the response?

gerry how can u say baby sitting is better? are there not the same kind of "risks"??? Kate I assume your daughter will not be alone in the shop?

I believe they have also invaded the EDT and Bishop on the odd occassion. I did witness one nearly colliding with a bus as she staggered backwards into the road waving her wine glass about. Even the driver honking his horn, as it were, didn't make much of an impact :-| What's the world coming to!
