Southwark Council does have a schedule specifically for leaves - https://www.southwark.gov.uk/parking-streets-and-transport/street-care/autumn-leaf-collection (mind boggles!) As always you can report street "rubbish" via their online form but have found, from personal experience, their new website and forms don't quite connect up well. If you see an area that is becoming dangerous - wet leaves are slippery after all etc - keep reporting to the council. Keep reporting.

Hasn't Southwark been a Labour thing for quite some time? What does the previous Government have anything to do with anything except demonstrate it really makes no difference whether it is this one or that one, they're all just as bad (yes open to interpretation but does boil down to the same thing).

malumbu, you seem to be of a character that would chip in with your views regardless of there being a drink involved... Why does everything have to become a political discussion?

Parking Ticket - 10mins on Lordship Lane
KalamityKel replied to ali2007's topic in Roads & Transport
My shopping, from a supermarket/normal highstreet shop, has never looked like the image used on the sign... 🤔 I must buy more tomatoes next time... I usually tend to overthink things (life in general) but I've always interpreted such a sign to mean very simply it's for goods loading (deliveries) for the shop not for customer buying directly from the site. Why is there any confusion? -
Just curious... what happened at the meet? 😉

Southwark council survey on bins on the street
KalamityKel replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The Qs aren't really anything to shout about; Name of street Number Type of property Bin collection day How long are your bins left on the street? Why? Have you experienced any inconvenience from bins on the pavement in your area? Type of bin causing the inconvenience How has this inconvenienced you? A selection of agree statements relating to resident V commercial bins 🤷♀️ -
If you're not comfortable with lots of people in a small space, I'd recommend avoiding peak times though 😎

Southwark council survey on bins on the street
KalamityKel replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
http://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-on-street For context, if you don't want to click to the site: "Streets for People - Bins on streets exploratory survey As part of the borough-wide Streets for People engagement earlier this year, many people identified domestic waste bins on the pavement as a major issue for pedestrians, especially people in wheelchairs or with pushchairs. In the worst cases, they can make streets impossible to navigate. We are now exploring this in more detail, to better understand the specific issues and what the solutions might be. We are visiting residents on the streets below, which were identified as hotspots in the Streets for People survey. If you live on one of these streets, please share your thoughts here. · AMBERGATE STREET · BASSANO STREET · BROOK DRIVE · BRUNSWICK PARK · BUSHEY HILL ROAD · CAMBERWELL CHURCH STREET · CHAPTER ROAD · COPLESTON ROAD · CRAMPTON STREET · DE LAUNE STREET · ELFINDALE ROAD · ELMINGTON ROAD · ETHNARD ROAD · GROVE LANE · KESTON ROAD · KIMBERLEY AVENUE · LINNELL ROAD · LORDSHIP LANE · MARMORA ROAD · MELBOURNE GROVE · MUSCHAMP ROAD · SUTHERLAND SQUARE · VESTRY ROAD · VICARAGE GROVE · WOODWARDE ROAD" -
Kingsdale music scholarship assessment - help

How did he get on? Is there anything you can share with others on what was involved in the end? -
I don't necessarily agree with another different section. I mean, there are plenty of threads I don't choose to read simply as they're not a topic of interest to me so what's the difference here? Creating a "games" section doesn't mean conversation will improve in the Lounge more than anywhere else and segregating further would likely push users to those areas instead of experiencing the forum as a whole. 🤷♀️

Annoying words that have cropped up in our language
KalamityKel replied to malumbu's topic in The Lounge
Brainwriting and ideation. Ok ok, they've been around a good while but are now being used by the youth injected marketing teams in such a painful way I cringe! -

You know East Dulwich Grove and East Dulwich Road are not the same right? Just thought I'd add that in before people get too excited over "trials", "extensions" and alien invasions 😉

Save TigerSharks Swim Club at Alleyns

I'm a little confused to as why it's the end of the club. Is it not possible to explore other venues? Has this been explored? I'd have assumed this would have been one of the first things to look at as soon as notice was given rather put all eggs into one carton. Apologies if I have missed this somewhere in the thread... -
So... what happened when you expressed your disgruntlement directly to the establishment?

From my experience, the first thing Evri will do is suggest you, the one expecting the parcel, go knocking on neighbouring doors to try to find it yourself whilst ensuring you they're looking in to the matter (which, again from experience, means they're not really). I recently had a delivery go astray and only by own detective work looking at the surroundings in the picture taken managed to figure out where it might have gone. It was frustrating as I had received various messages advising it was going to be delivered shortly, they couldn't deliver, would retry tomorrow to it's been delivered (no knocking or even opening of our squeaky gate) all in the space of 5 mins. From their point of view, the item was delivered, even incorrectly and it's a right headache to try to get things sorted. Hopefully you have nice neighbours and someone will pop by with your package! 🙂
