  1. I suppose it might help to consider what you're doing on Saturday morning and just change the routine. So if by 9am he's having a meltdown - take him out to the park at 8.45? It's worth a shot.
  2. I've variously heard 8.30am, 8am and 7.30am but cannot find any information online Thank you
  3. the direct pick-ups of repeat prescriptions are left over from Maceys the new staff are gruff and unapproachable but I agree about the spacey refit with reference to buggies I suppose, although we always managed back in the day
  4. The product range is dull and predictable The staff are far less helpful with zero empathy which for a pharmacy is a big negative in my opinion (I know things change .. and fish suppers for tuppence ha'penny .. and I remember when all this was fields too)

  6. you sound surprised. They've been running a stall outside Moxons for ages selling rather expensive bread. I have not been impressed with anything I've bought from there yet. Just brioche (disgusting) and french bread (had better) and an olive loaf (nice but have made better)
  7. "really nice guy" coughs, splutters and refuses to comment
  8. for the buses that run through East Dulwich (specifically the 40, 176 and 185 but maybe the 12 too) I need one that prints out at a legible size (unlike those that you can get from the TFL site) because it's to give to an OAP any ideas would be much appreciated
  9. I think it might be the tfl site rather than the station as if I put in from ED station all is well sorry for worrying anyone
  10. I'm trying to plan a journey on tfl.gov.uk from here to Gatwick airport and for some reason the options are to take the bus to Peckham Rye Rail Station to get a train to London Bridge (of course I'd just get the 40 straight there if this is the case).. it's a very odd route it's suggesting though It's not even bringing up a train to East Croydon Anyone know whether there aer trains running from ED to London Bridge or E. Croydon next week please?
  11. Don't get it Why is she a cat? Why is her time Miaow? What's it all about, Alfie?
  12. not to seem pedantic (well actually to seem incredibly pedantic) shouldn't the threat title be "You know you're a parent when..."?
  13. I'm only coming if you tell me how you pronounce ctwch and what it means
  14. lovely road absolute bugger to park there if you don't have a drive though
  15. If not is there anywhere else in ED that is comfortable and easygoing and ok to take a child to
  16. thanks Rhinestone Cowboy for reading post and giving the answer I needed, much obliged
  17. usually takes an hour .. do the streatham, croydon route .. how much longer to add the 'slightly heading into town before heading out' traffic of rush-hour please?
  18. OK my credit card has been cloned and someone's got my pin .. Capital called to tell me that someone's taken ?200 then tried for another ?100 ... I've used Somerfield (closest date to the cloning), Tesco Petrol (nr Horniman) and Sainsbury's (But 2 week ago) Told partner who checked statements and Virgin have allowed ?1,000 cash withdrawals on credit card - we think that has to be Sainsbury's We never use credit cards to withdraw cash and are shocked that Virgin software didn't pick up 4 different cash transactions
  19. I used to love it there. But it took 55 minutes to be served one day and when I went to the back to ask where the adult meals were I got a mouthful of abuse from the 'new owner' who denied that we'd been waiting almost an hour. The food is good The woman was patently tired having cooked 6 meals before ours on the smallest frying pan (fits 3 eggs it seems) in the world. I won't go back anymore because I was rather offended and extremely embarrassed, despite maintaining my standard politeness. In fact I bumped into the other woman later that afternoon and she couldn't apologise enough.
  20. need to dispose of an old mattress and don't want to trawl up to wandsworth which is the only one I know
  21. well I meant that people should be aware how their spare is attached to their cars .. I never realised mine could be nicked... And also plants in pots outside houses are at risk, so consider whether you're happy to risk the amount you have invested in them. If you're not interested then that's fine, if you can minimise your personal risk then great. Too late for me. But I don't think it's turning it into a 'crime noticeboard' to warn people of an unusual (IMO) theft. Thanks for the sympathy though
  22. gosh you lot are tough .. have edited OP to give more info, hope it's up to scratch :)
