  1. In the US perhaps, but it is very difficult to buy adulterated honey in the UK - and it's certainly illegal to sell it.
  2. http://www.food.gov.uk/sites/default/files/multimedia/pdfs/honeyguidance.pdf there are lots of regulations covering the labelling of honey.
  3. Hmmm - that's interesting. It's not what it says on 'mouseprice', but you seem to be right. I wonder why the different stats?
  4. Nice. That little stretch by Queen's Road is getting quite interesting.
  5. Last year, there were a number of 4 bed properties topping a million (some substantially over). Out of 15 which show up on a land registry search, 6 sold for over a million and another 2, just under. The highest price was 1.2m. Most of those under 1m where sold early on in the year. This year, out of the 6 showing up as sold through the land registry, none are over a million. They range from 630K up to 875K. It seems to me, that (at least for 4 bed houses) actual sold prices have dropped by at least 20%.

  7. There is pasturised honey and 'raw' honey. Raw honey, especially Manuka is very expensive because some folk believe it has 'healing properties'. It's a bit of a fad imo - just clever marketing designed to cause a 'buzz' (see what I did there).
  8. I would love to know what level of taxpayer subsidy (if any) this place receives?
  9. How big is that pot!
  10. Fahrenheit make a lot more sense - it's a much bigger scale so you can categorise in broader terms of the 60s, 70s, 80s etc. Centigrade it's generally all 20s and 30s - not descriptive / sensitive enough. Other metric weights an measures are different - it make much more sense to express things in multiples of tens.

  12. I'm not sure it's a sellers market in ED at the moment. It does depend to some degree on what end of the market you're looking, but certainly for houses there is no shortage of properties. 4 bed houses were asking for around 1 million last year, now they're going up for more like 800K. That's quite a big drop.
  13. So looking into it, Wispa contains 'cocoa solids 25% minimum', which means is higher than Dairy Milk. So it seems to be a different chocolate - although the fact that it's aerated is clearly the bigger distinction.

I like crunchie's too.
  15. The full range of products is listed here: https://www.cadbury.co.uk/products Wispa, Frys chocolate cream, Frys Turkish Delight and Picnic all in my top 4.
  16. That probably explains why I like the Fry's products.
  17. How is it that this council gym is so expensive - more than double the price of some other, private gyms? Can anyone explain this?

  19. Anyone know what the place is that's opening up next to Blue Tit? Looks like some kind of bar maybe?

  21. An overview of the plans can be found here: https://consultations.southwark.gov.uk/environment-leisure/camberwell-town-centre-public-realm-improvements/supporting_documents/Camberwell%20TC%20%20Overall%20plan.pdf
  22. Southwark are consulting on changes to Camberwell Green road layout. https://consultations.southwark.gov.uk/environment-leisure/camberwell-town-centre-public-realm-improvements Worth noting that it includes a proposal to stop the 185 turning right into Denmark Hill from Camberwell New Road. The bus will instead be diverted up Medlar Street.
  23. ... oh, but maybe turkish delight is dairy milk now, don't know.
