  1. The letter from the council about this consultation just came to us today. Did anyone else get theirs?
  2. Hi James Are you familiar with the Bassano Street garage proposed development? If so can we have a meeting with you. Many thanks.
  3. I?ve just been informed that letters will go out 10 days before the public meeting, so 31st March after many of the Dulwich schools break up for Easter holidays.
  4. I am also waiting for a letter to come out. Then I will copy it and distribute to local shops and houses. Not sure the shops have any interest in this.
  5. Hi James Thank you again for your input. What is the best way to inform others of this meeting? I feel the date is now very close to the school holidays and many will be away.
  6. This thread has been moved to Events and that is not where it should be. It affects many residents in the area so should be moved back to where it was originally, general issues. It needs wide exposure due to the impact this proposed development will have on the area. Thank you.
  7. Administrator what has happened to this thread?
  8. Thank you James. This is very helpful.
  9. Yes I have tried to read the Southwark plan but found myself bogged down in detail of other areas, not sure how to find specific parameters for this area. How are these defined for suburban areas?
  10. Thank you James. I also cannot attend the new date but any support that you and others can offer would be greatly appreciated. If there is anything we should do before that meeting please let us know.
  11. New date for public event now 9th April at Dulwich Library, not 25th March.
  12. The public meeting on 9th April will be held at the Dulwich Library from 4-7 pm. Please pass on this information to anyone who may be interested in attending.
  13. Well I think we need to ask here on the forum how many would be interested in forming a project group. Could you let others know who may not have seen this thread.
  14. There isn't anything published yet concerning the meeting on 25th March. I only found out because I contacted them directly. If there is a project group I would be interested in joining this as we are local residents. I will keep you informed when the details are released. I was informed there would be invitations sent out next week.
  15. Southwark Council is proposing to demolish the Bassano Street garages across from ESPH and build four houses in its place. Consultation now open for comment, search Southwark planning applications 19/AP/1861. I believe there is deadline of 4th August for comment.
  16. If you have lost your car key today in Dulwich Park please contact me via private message
  17. We were unable to learn if the victim was ok as the air ambulance was still there. Has anyone seen any news reports on this?
  18. Just wanted to report that yesterday a man was stabbed in Dulwich Park trying to prevent a man stealing a handbag. The air ambulance came and the victim was being treated in the park. The other man escaped on his bike through Court Lane Gates. Be careful.
  19. Update in first post for those who asked .
  20. A relative was staying and he escaped through the cat flap. My relative didn't hear him barking because we think he was further down the gardens on our road and was chasing something.
  21. Thanks first mate. My husband and I feel the police have better things to worry about but I guess I can bring the collar to show them. Where would I take it? Is East Dulwich still open?
  22. Thank you. He was found under a bush with his collar next to him, the collar had been cut in three places and pieces of it were missing. There were no teeth marks from an animal. My neighbour heard him barking at about 3.30am and then silence. Did he disturb someone? Were there any break-ins along the nature trail on Sunday night/Monday morning? Anyone with any ideas please let me know.
  23. Sadly our cavalier died over the weekend but under suspicious circumstances. Did anyone see or hear a dog barking on Sunday night and then find his body the next morning? We are trying to piece together what happened to him. Please PM me if you saw him or found him either Sunday night or Monday morning near the nature trail. It was definitely not another animal which caused his death. Thank you. We had an autopsy done on him and it revealed he had been bitten by an animal but the cause of death was most likely a heart attack. His collar was cut and lying next to him so that still remains unresolved. Thank you for your messages of concern and advice. They were very much appreciated.
  24. I tried Sainburys and they stopped their collection on 15th January, and suggested using their normal recycle bins for card, paper, etc. Seems a shame that someone cannot do something creative with them.
  25. Does anyone know which charities are collecting used Christmas cards? There used to be bins where you could deposit these, and now nothing seems to be listed around East Dulwich. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
