Yes that's what they do. They have long flower pod buds before the flowers fully develop. I might see if I can get some seeds. I really like them. I've got cornflowers in my mix too and they are lovely.

Great idea ... not. So, no money for young adults with no qualifications. Hmmmm, what do you think they might do to stop themselves from starving? Some might force themselves to go to college to study something they have no interest in, but I bet the majority will slip into the black economy where qualifications aren't needed. But that's ok, they can fill the private prisons and allow UK industry to use their labour to compete with overseas, non-unionised, unprotected labour markets. Win, win really, unless you're one of the victims of the ensuing crime wave.

Lol, I have very important raspberries, a couple of remarkable nut trees, an outstanding plum tree and distinguished gooseberry bushes in my front garden. And if I saw anyone rooting through my bins, I'd offer them whatever other unwanted things I had to hand. In fact I put an old metal framed bed outside my house near my bins, hoping someone interested in scrapping it would pass by. Within a few hours a guy in a white van turned up and started loading the bits into his van, so I offered him an old metal chair too. If someone can make a few quid from things I have no use for, good luck to them and it saved me booking an appointment for the council to collect it.

At least it wasn't a cyclist mounting the pavement.

I think driving at a perp is not the right thing to do. I think this is probably a better option.

What's with the 'in view of your children' bit about? How does that make it worse? And as for normalising behaviour, this appears to be normal for them anyway. Your normal doesn't dictate what is normal for anyone else. If you don't care about anyone else's problems, then you are pretty selfish. Maybe if you ever end up on your arse, you'll have a bit more understanding.

And as someone stated above, they can always go through your rubbish when it gets to landfill, so what's the difference? You just don't want to see the poverty of others? Is that it? Better if it's off in some remote dumping ground?

Ugly, revolting, intolerant, EDF at it's best. It's not the flavela? So being foreign and poor in another country is ok, but if you're foreign and poor in one of the richest countries on the planet (which is a lot more common than you probably think) then you must be condemned. If they wanted bits of paper, they could use bags and be less conspicuous. How can anyone think they'd be looking for bits of paper with a shopping trolley? And if any of you are worried about ID theft, rip off your name, address etc from any letters you want to throw away or recycle first, then you can rest assured the shopping trolley ladies can only take your old shoes or other such shit you've decided you no longer have any use for.

Lol, some cats are actually affectionate and hang around for their whole lives. We had two brothers. One was really sweet and would always want to be with the humans, the other was just evil. The evil one would hide under beds and in cupboards, so it would always get shut in rooms, then proceed to crap and piss everywhere. I'm glad we'd had them castrated or the stink would have been worse. He used to attack the sweet, friendly cat and leg it any time I wanted to take him to the vet. Luckily he lost himself a few months ago and I'm hoping he doesn't find his way home!

New draft cycle safety action plan for London has been put online of anyone wants to comment. My 5 year old staff cross adopted two kittens whose mum had died when they were 5-6 weeks old. He cleaned their bums and they slept in his bed. Here they are when the cat was grown up. They are still really good together. Bull breeds have a bad rep, but they are really good pets and cool with other animals.

My neighbours on both sides have wind chimes. I fantasise about destroying them with an AK47. The windchimes, not the neighbours, usually.

That must be annoying, but maybe you need to insist on a contact number in future.

Happy Valley was better than I expected it to be. Good acting and the script was good, apart from a couple of unrealistic coincidences to make the story fit. I liked the complexity of the characters too and the good/bad mix within the lead characters. Worth a watch in my opinion.
