  1. Nolan is a great signing and is the only player (gettable player) who could fill Parker's boots as a motivator and he knows what the Championship's about.... would like to see Barton follow though. And Aldershot at home in first round of the Pointless Cup, bring it on squaddies.
  2. and has nothing to do with threads like "I hate the Guardian", hmm I see where you're coming from. Mine is not finding this forum when I first moved to ED 5 years ago - all the crap I could have sold on locally all the interesting debates I've missed...
  3. This used to be Co-op but changed to a Sogim Pharmacy, ironically enough, around the same time the Co-op took over Somerfields

I think they heard you HB - today's chuggers are resplendent in blue KAGOULS complete with hood and 'Plan' logo on the back. Tabards are soooo yesterday.
  5. So Nolan HAS signed - Barton sick as the proverbial but says he won't be following. Big Sam should start earning his corn and offer JB whatever he wants IMHO.
  6. Are you sure you didn't get this from a rejected Seinfeld script? And yes, of course yes! Just remember to get out early so you don't end up like 'Roy' in 'The IT Crowd' (series 2 ep 1)... jezus this plot device HAS been used a lot...

Is this true when the image comes from a google images page? Are they (Google) not already hotlinking or do they put the image on their own bandwidth?

Recent evidence showing Vilmos waiting for bus in early BRR. http://www.ideal-homes.org.uk/__data/assets/image/0003/356601/barry-road-00631-350.jpg

  10. Of course - British Racing Green, style over substance (how very wdf). Why has the one on the end got a chimney? Do they smoke their own mackerel in there too?
  11. Has your new Queen taken off again? http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,688223
  12. it was more of an analog to digital transplant necessitating a more binary diet, and am reliably informed that attempted grafting of a WDF or even a NSE15F would have led to rejection, infection and possible partial aphasia leading to a chat-room-only diet of OMG, WTF, LOL, LMFAO etc. (oh and ETC).
  13. and editing your 4.28 post to make my response meaningless is just silly.
  14. That's where the fun is - or should be... and having admittedly been weaned on EDF I find the mixing of for sale with business recommendations a little confusing and think you should have a wanted section too. It may be because the EDF was the first of this kind of thing i have used but it does seem that the more sections you have the better. One can avoid the po-faced drawing room discussions on EDF and stick to tom-foolery in the lounge, buy & sell, ask for stuff, recommend or criticise a business, remark on a local issue, talk property, upcoming events or even talk about the forum itself all in separate rooms which is far more suitable for someone as prone to obsession and bi-polar behaviour as myself.

I had as little trouble with this at first too - the easiest way is to right click the image you want, select 'view image info' and a box will appear headed 'page info' with many lines of URLs including the one relating to your image which should be highlighted. Simply copy this then return to your post, select the 'insert image URL' button, delete the http:// it starts with and paste in the line you copied from the 'page info' window. Voila!
  16. subforum!? Is that just another name for the lounge? If so isn't that exactly what I said? I'm not attacking you, honest, it was just rather.. well... empty in there.

By the time they respond to it the EDF hit squad will probably be trying to pick a fight with the Budleigh Salterton Forum. http://www.worldheritagecoast.net/images/towns/bud7.JPG "Pah! You call those beach Huts!? Have you never been to Whitstable?!!"
  18. I see that - having not posted on the Nunhead forum lounge for two days - in fact NOBODY has posted on the Nunhead forum lounge in two days - you have accepted that the Nuhead malaise is terminal and posted here instead. I just popped in there and got knocked down by tumbleweed.
  19. doea this mean Jester really WAS Giles Brandreth?
  20. no, only their Communards albums (they wear docksiders or waxed DMs sometimes too!)
  21. .oops, sorry. thought this was a forum not a creche.
  22. okay rumble! *adoptes west side story pose and clicks fingers* 5 o'clock by the duck pond, tooled-up (ficelles, sharpened croissants etc. but no shooters), Uniform: ED - Retro t-shirts, cargo shorts & Boden gingham scarf. WD - Ben Sherman shirts, Chinos, converse trainers.
  23. carry me back to old virginny - louis armstrong/mills brothers
