I'm just going for a wander - you'd be amazed at the stuff people around here leave out for the bin man. No I will NOT wear cargo shorts - I'm not a child! But it's cheaper look, it's Co-op own brand! I'm gonna get a new mini cooper or a BMW hatchback - you know, like those estate agent guys have.

Yay! Weekend At Bernies is on tv at the weekend! Is there a Nandos in ED?.......a KFC?

Why can't you get wine in boxes any more? Yes she's from Poland, the wife's idea.... but I would. The next rug rat that rams into my shins on a yellow plastic scooter gets kicked in front of a bus.

If I don't see such a chase advertised in the 'What's on in East Dulwich' arena (Wild Golliwog Chase from Dulwich Library to Clockhouse, June 6th!)i will know it has all been a bit of a red golliwog. -
"Oh I love it when new people move in to the area" "Of course I believe in disciplining children. You can't just let them run amok in the streets" "I wouldn't have bought anything in there but it IS a charity shop..." "Don't be silly, there AREN'T any council tenants in East Dulwich" "A new coffee shop would be nice"

"Why oh why can't we have a Waitrose in LL?" "Move that #@*?ing pushchair out of my way" "And he thought Montessori was in Liguria! Scream." "No, no, I actually prefer the urban feel of East Dulwich to the reserve of the village. It's edgier." "Of course everything William Rose sells is 100% organic" "Oooooh look, fairy cakes!"

stop press: The co-op on LL are now selling Tunnocks NEW Dark Chocolate Tea Cakes, the familiar colours replaced by an exotic away strip of dark blue and gold [they look grand]. Inspiration or abomination? (?1.19 for six) -

Most ubiquitously, users require the ability to cut and paste sections of plain text. This paradigm has close associations with graphical user interfaces that use pointing devices such as a computer mouse (by drag and drop, for example). Contents [hide] couldn't resist

Just to reiterate my first point - it's hard to see how more promotion could've helped. As Peckham Rose says it was very busy, in fact the green was jointed the whole time i was there and it's hard to believe you could cram any more people in comfortably. I would love to have got to the mexican food eulogised by jack but the queue was so long i settled for bangers. Otherwise good job - i shall be in contact re next year when i have had some hammer time. (and bacon sandwiches)

Watching Lord Amstrad "investigate" football on BBC2 and so far (quel surprise) we've discovered that chairmen are decent people who do their best for the club and players are ravenous money-grabbers. Can't wait 'til he gets to the press... and agents of course

I hear she will be interred not cremated - 'cause the Lady's not for burning.

Just heard this too - there goes the most intruiging 'credit' on HIGNFY. Always thought 'he' was a band! (Music by Big George).

Met the new (only been in post a week or two) manager of Dulwich Pool at Goose Green Fair - she said the gym is scheduled to open in July and will have machines as well as free weights in one huge room. She wanted opinion/feedback from locals re gym and pool so i pointed her towards the forum (expect her to start posting soon!) as a way of getting same.

Very busy fair - not sure if a bit more promotion would've made a difference. I am a little in Pablo's camp though, and probably deserve the GOM title as much, but next time could we PLEASE have a little something for the fellahs? It was all fairy cakes and jewellery, cushions and faked victoriana, alternative therapies and esoteric tea... where were the men-who-make-things-in-sheds? the beer brewers, cheesemakers, collectors and vendors of special interest literature? Look out next year for my stall selling "things made with a hammer"... and Bacon sandwiches.

Do you think Labour will see her death as "...a good day to bury bad news"? Come on, a little flippancy in the face of death is a great British tradition.
