  1. Only a niche complaint as it's easily avoided, but Darrell road is horrible, terrible surface.
  2. Whether he thought it was a bit rough 8 years ago is only an opinion that really means nothing now. What does mean something now is that there's a thriving shop, employing people, providing a good service at reasonable prices. And we have a high street that's mostly a pleasure to shop in.
  3. I might try that route. Sounds like a good one.
  4. We have a metal hood over the letterbox on the inside to stop miscreants peeping in.
  5. I think that's just a butcher's bike.
  6. That's the fella.
  7. I had one of those in Maine once.. A McLobster. Delicious.
  8. Most shops on Rye Lane will do it.
  9. It's really nice to go out with kids to the pub for a meal but you have to respect everyone else. We go, order quickly, eat, maybe have a game of Scrabble and go. That's about enough time before boredom sets in. Children would generally prefer to be climbing trees or kicking a ball than sitting around in a boozer.
  10. Franco Manca will be good I think. I've only been to the one in Brixton a couple of times but really like it.
  11. I wouldn't say there are that many bankers in ED. It's more a lawyer kind of area.
  12. Franco Manca is great. But I think my loyalty will stay with Il Mirto. Hopefully there's room for everyone.
  13. A good piece in the Huffington Post. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/matt-glass/london-cyclist-deaths_b_4298701.html
  14. If it's affordable housing I guess it's no bad thing. At least they look quite interesting.
  15. The Barry Road/Underhill junction is horrible. As a driver pulling put visibility is terrible due to parked cars. As a cyclist I would approach with extreme caution.
  16. I've had two terribly embarrassing 'I'm not pregnant' moments. A 'Baby on Board' badge genuinely helps.
  17. I remember a dusty old bike shop that sold Peugeot racing bikes (I think on the William Rose site). Not sure if it was Claude Butler. We were a Ron Cooper family.
  18. Silverfox's comment stupid beyond belief. Mostly cyclists have one cycling jacket that is likely to be reflective.
  19. I find them OK. We've had a few short disruptions but nothing too terrible.
  20. I didn't live here when it was converted, I'd love to have had one last walk around the old building before it was converted. I've taken my six year old into the car park and showed him the painted goal we used to use.
  21. I went to St Johns in Archdale Rd too (1970-76). I loved my time there. And the two years at the Epiphany Hall. It was a bit like a village school.
  22. Well why don't you just ask the organiser?
  23. Burbage Road fireworks were last week (if that's what we're talking about).

    The Patch

It strikes me as a little pricey. The Lansdowne pub in Primrose Hill (where most people are loaded) does starters from ?5-?8 and mains from ?10-?18, they also do a kid's pasta for ?5. The food is always great and it's busy. I think this is a good price bracket to aim at to get repeat business.

Hey! Let's just all start moaning about something before it's even opened properly? Who needs enterprise anyway?
