  1. A hedge in the front. I'll probably buy a little Bosch one. They're not all that expensive.
  2. Plans look fab. Hopefully you'll be open in time for the next Hobbit movie.
  3. Is there anywhere locally to hire hedge trimmers? I have a fulsome bush and clip it manually. I like the finish from automatic trimmers but don't really need my own.
  4. Now that is good news.
  5. I wouldn't have thought so Picture Houses cover all the good mainstream releases.
  6. I used to go to Seegars when I was a kid too. And bought my first single (Monster Mash) from the electrical shop next door.
  7. If it had a bar like the bar in Gastro in Clapham and table football I'd be there like a shot.
  8. A French bar with delicious pression and French snacks could be great fun. Hope it's not an overpriced tat shop.
  9. Reminds me of a story of an old Don at Cambridge. He used to like to bathe naked in the river. Whenever a punt went by full of students he'd put a towel over his head.
  10. Oh boo. I thought it might be a pub.
  11. DuncanW Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Why was she calling the police anyway? > Had a crime been committed? We don't know do we. But sounds like she was shaken up and wanted to report the accident.
  12. I just remembered when I was a small boy what fun it was to see how high I could wee up a wall. It's something you grow out of.
  13. That is a big puddle. I tend to go a bit further up through Trinity Square and onto Great Suffolk St.
  14. I can echo what Katanita says. There are safe® routes in place that let you avoid The Elephant completely. It's worth taking an extra few minutes.
  15. I can recommend Matryx's route. Pretty much exactly what I do.
  16. I do a variation of most of the above routes. It's pretty safe most of the way on the backroads. I use Blackfriars Bridge. The bridge itself is fine but you need to be very careful up to Ludgate Circus. I've tried Southwark Bridge but I think the traffic is worse once you get to the other side. I work in Farringdon (near Holborn). I'd be happy to ride with you one morning. Some mornings I leave at 8.20am or 9am if I do school drop off. It takes about 40 minutes at a leisurely pace.
  17. You probably can't go wrong with either. My son is at Goodrich and it's good. The school is really well run and has a good spirit.
  18. Going to be a hairdressers.
  19. All this talk of class is outdated anyway. There's no social class system. Only those with money and those without.
  20. That sounds promising.
  21. Looking forward to trying the new garden.
  22. We're always riddled with them.
