  2. If you haven't done so already Foxy, speak to your neighbours (and not just those next door). Deliverers of post/leaflets etc. are often under a lot of pressure to get through their rounds. Where I live, we automatically push exposed stuff through each others' letter boxes. Ditto putting back wheely bins or taking in directories/parcels left on doorsteps. One of my neighbours once trimmed my lawn whilst I was on holiday!
  3. I LOVE the sounds which emanate from the ground. To me they are HAPPY sounds and I feel happy when I hear them.
  4. I know little about mobiles so, regrettably, can't help you Willard. However, I just want to say how moved I am feeling over people wanting to help you. This, for me, is what life (and this forum) should be (and often are) about. I wish you luck Willard. Please could you keep us posted?

  6. They will cost you an arm, leg and a backbone but worth every cent: Blackbird Bakery...I find their pastry light and delicious and the filling sublime.

Why do you say that, Chief? I am genuinely curious.

  12. 18,000, 20,000, or 30,000...I am trying to imagine how far those sort of numbers would stretch at CH! I'd have loved to have been at those games. The largest DH game I've attended has had figures of touching 3,000 (I think)and that felt massive to me. Thanks dc (and Doc). Doc, 1949...were you around then? :))
  13. DHST Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The Mega Shed announce extended Christmas opening > hours > > http://dhst.org.uk/the-mega-shed-announce-extended > -christmas-opening-hours/ Dear DHST, How much for the pink shirts? And do they come in a "small"? Thank you.

Not quite 20 - 30,000 but the article writes about numbers of 10,000 and 13,000 - which is not insignificant. Thanks Doc. http://thehamlethistorian.blogspot.co.uk/2010/06/famed-uk-tourists-of-nigeria.html

I attended a DH PO @ NL a few years ago where DH lost against BR on a bitterly cold/wet day. Despite the miserable score and weather, I found the atmosphere warm and friendly. I would say it is a suitable ground to which to take the kids.
