It's not derelict. It doesn't seem to be negatively affecting anything around it judging by the queues outside William Rose.
  3. Feel gutted for Mitchell who by all accounts had a war, but lost his third title shot.
  4. Pound shops do see some "tat", but they also sell a lot of brand name stuff for a quid, it's great. But many would rather pay three times as much for the same item because they couldn't lower themselves to go in a pound shop. Let them waste their money.
  5. That was great. He basically told them that he'd get them shut down if he won. Idiot.

Horrible stuff, I've always thought it shameful how that has been progress gored, especially when you take Hillsborough in to consideration. I suspect the same would have happened that day had it been any number of English teams at that time.
  7. And the dirty tricks he tried during the GE were bang out of order and stank of desperation.
  8. I always find myself agreeing with some of what he says, but he's an egomaniac who seems to be getting more and more paranoid.
  9. Beej didn't like my use of "Maccas".
  10. Steve McManaman's name is Steven McManaman, didn't stop everyone from calling him Macca. See also Paul McCartney.

  12. I find your completely sensible attitude very offensive. You should apologise.
  13. I wish councils could be helpful if you want rid if a dangerous tree that's on a neighbours property. In our old rented house we had a tree leaning dangerously towards the house from the garden at the back. I am certain it's a matter time until it falls, but the owner of that house (a landlord, not living there) wouldn't respond to anything, and the council are powerless. I'm not anti tree by any stretch, but this bad boy was a massive Eucalyptus (I think) was at an angle, and also covered our garden with leaves all year around, and blocked light. That all said, given how our previous landlords treated us, I now hope it falls and smashes through the back of their house (when no Tennant is home). Sorry, totally off topic.
  14. Having just read parts one and two of that piece I feel a bit sad for the passing of many a legendary place that I'd visited in the past. Had no idea everywhere had closed down.
  15. Also, can Southwark put a TPO on a tree on someone's land?
  16. Oh Christ I remember some scary nights in thjere when I was barely old enough to drink legally.
  17. Indeed. And RE trees, I think Jeremy is spot on, if the owner wanted to get rid then that's their right.
  18. Ofsted are a poisonous organisation.
  19. Me too. Unless there is no peace at home.
  20. I tell you to end your life, I wish I could but it's too late. Pretty different message from enjoy life.

It seems to have been years that he's wanted to be the centre forward, and yet Wenger has never really trusted in him enough to give him a run at it. RE Liverpool, Klopp wants a 6 month break, so let's see how Rogers starts the campaign then replace in January if necessary...
  22. Much as I love Hornimans, I bloody hate that cafe.

So it seems Rogers might keep his job, what do people think? It's a difficult one for me. We've really missed Sturridge, and that's no one's fault, but the signings have largely been bloody shocking. I feel REALLY sorry for Ricky Lambert who must go to bed every night wishing he'd stayed put at the saints. Balotelli provided some entertainment, but does not fit Roger's style (which begs the question why he was brought in in the first place). Dejan Lovren (who I admit to having high hopes for) has basically been shit. And RD, do you reckon DiMaria will stay at United? And will Walcott stay at Arsenal??? Sterling can jog on.
  24. I've always found free wifi to be absolute rubbish. 4G much better in my experience.
