Doesn't saying you're a hipster mean you're not allowed to be a hipster?

Agree with all this. Especially the bit about NurseryCam. Who knew.

Some people have made an absolute fortune out of blogging or vlogging. Most won't though. Bit like bands really. Some will just be there at the right time and place, others who may be just as (or more) talented simply won't.

Think it's going to be enjoyable. Now it's all finished, I thought this was a good review. http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/the-wolf-among-us-review/1900-6415981/

Can't this whole thread just be deleted deleted, because I don't think any two people are really talking about the same thing. I'm certainly not talking about any of the people Rosie earlier mentioned. And I'm definitely not talking about the successful people Seabag mentioned. I'm talking about the people that have ensured that when I went to look for some new glasses, EVERY bloody pair was thick black rimmed. Although I will admit to a level of jealousy(as Seabag suggested) towards anyone who's time and life is their own. But this thread has gone from a bit of a moan about a youth culture (which has been happening for as long as there has been youth) to something which feels slightly unpleasant to me. Nothing I've said on the thread (going right back to my initial DHFC comment) has been meant as anything other than light hearted. Except the bit about dressing up as Edwardian gentry (which by the way I'd never have labelled hipster - which is another example of how no one actually knows what a hipster is). I just find that particular group of junior right wingers a bit distasteful.

  7. I just had too many lukewarm and really unpleasant ales to ever want to risk it unless I'm out with someone who knows their stuff. Otherwise it's Heineken for me.
  8. Yeah I was shocked to hear that. It's to be replaced by a whale. Although the dinosaur could end up outside apparently.

Just because admitting to being part of a tribe is a no no for this particular tribe, doesn't mean they're not a tribe.

I'm starting to feel like a complete neanderthal for wearing t shirts and liking lager.

Exactly, I didn't hate the hipsters, I doubt I knew they existed. (Before anyone gets excitable, I don't literally "hate" anyone for what group they belong to. Shouldn't need saying, but it seems to on here)

You're 10 pages out of date mate. I've since made friends with all the people talking about DHFC on pages 1 and 2. Peace
  13. Cool, I am tempted top get Spiderman for myself.
  14. The pay rise wasn't rewarded to themselves, it was recommended by an independent body that sets MP pay, and all three "main party" leaders said it was inappropriate.
  15. The whole kitchen table thing, naff as it may be, is because they're aiming for a particular type of woman who their research (rightly or wrongly) tells them will feel comfortable with that sort of setting. It's not about the average EDF user.
  16. I think my daughter would get a lot out of just being able to wander around and explore a landscape without actually having a game to play and enemies to fight.
  17. I don't know that much about minecraft but the video I watched of the toybox option reminded me of it in terms of creating landscapes. But I could be completely wrong. Thanks for your replies, will definitely check out some more YouTube.
  18. "Aside from the educational aspect, dinosaurs are a very bad example for children." That is bloody brilliant!
  19. So it might not be so obvious because they're round each other's gaffs rather than out on the tiles.
  20. Plus drinking out has become very expensive.

  22. Charming game and looks really lovely.
  23. My tech savvy 5 year old (6 in April) has started showing some interest when I'm playing xbox (VERY rare these days), and I was wondering about games for her. Saw this on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Infinity-2-0-Toybox-Pack/dp/B00MTG1TD0/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1424010705&sr=1-1&keywords=disney+infinity+toybox+merida Seems to be Disney trying to cash in on the whole Minecraft thing. In theory I think she'd love this (especially as you can buy a separate Elsa to use in the game). But I don't know how hard they are to play, and I wouldn't want it to just frustrate her. She has ASD, but she is very good at the computer / searching for stuff on the TV / Netflix, and stuff. Just wondering whether anyone has tried this game and if it's any good?
  24. "Brothers - a tale of two sons" free on xbox live. Interesting game play where you control two characters simultaneously, one with each thumb stick.

Riding on the back of a pick up in the rain sounds fun.
