So bloody what if it's been discussed before, if the subject is no longer of interest then the thread will be ignored, if it is of interest then people will post. Linking to a thread from 3 years ago, full of posts and in jokes by people the new poster won't have a clue about is pointless IMO. RE: Recurrent trolls / posters (not all trolls, some just can't get along with anyone), it's hard to know for sure, but there are certain people that I'd be willing to bet you'll never see in the same room.

I don't think a local authority really makes an area. Agree Bromley are shit though.

Those really WERE the days.

I will never understand the British love affair with the roast. One of my least favourite meals.

Thing is, Bellenden Road and East Dulwich both used to be exactly like that. I am really liking the direction Penge is going in, but (for ME) I hope it doesn't go as far as ED, because (again, for ME) that's too far.

I'm all for good food which tastes nice. But I can't stand the whole presentation bit. -

My family ALWAYS had a Sunday roast, and the joint would make a further two meals at least. -

I don't think that post by Louisa was all rubbish, but I do agree with Quids that there are traditional English meals that are loved by the Middle Classes (whoever they are). Sunday roast was what immediately sprang to my mind. And I don't think anyone will ever accuse me of being a food snob, but I wouldn't go near jellied eels for money. -

No doubt. I only remember going there once or twice, as eating out was just something that didn't happen unless there was a very good reason for it. Have no recollection about the food, but seasoning was not big then, sop I'm guessing it was just a plain steak and some chips (with undressed salad on the side). -
Also, Suarez's goals last year covered up the fact that we were conceding a ton. We're probably not conceding any more now, but we're not scoring at the other end. In my humble opinion, Rogers needs to sort the defense out first, then start thinking about pretty football. Liverpool were a joy to watch last year, but right now we just need to think of points on the board before we can think about style.

I can't honestly say. I only ever went there once for a beer. But I know people that had late sessions with them.

If the problem is with the overuse of a word, why would it be offensive to anyone?

Liverpool simply don't have the players to challenge. BUT I disagree with Phil Neville that we're basically where we should be with that squad. We're playing very badly, but if Rogers can sort that out, then we should be challenging for top 4.

I remember Never on a Sunday from when I was a kid. Proper old skool "posh" decour involving dark wood and red velvet if my memory serves. -
Much more excited about the Alexandra. Although he was right about it being the worst kept secret in Penge.

Well I liked it. Genuinely. Although I think I'm talking about an older incarnation. Don't think I went to the last version. -

Whether it's Carling or a Late Knights ale, the point is that pubs should be paying the going rate for it, not the going rate plus a nice big wedge for the pubco.

I used to love a good horror, but now I've got enough stress in my life, my heart doesn't need anything else making it miss a beat. I like a psychological thriller better. Oh, and The Ring (American version), that was awesome.

I've actually got it on hard drive, but just haven't found an evening where I fancied being frightened. I am a bit of a scaredycat when it comes to creepy things. I keep looking over my shoulder until the sun comes up the next day.

Haha, I used to LOVE the Tex Mex place, but not sure they ever served anything that could honestly be described as a "decent Mexican meal". It was bloody great though. -

To be fair, it's not only Louisa / Dulwichfox. When the sweetshop closed, and the dog shop took it's place, (stupid) people said some really harsh things, as if the dog shop owner had personally gone in and trashed the sweet shop business, rather than taking on an available shop. -
My sister saw the play years ago and said it was very creepy. I've yet to watch the film.
