Wow, I go away for the day and it all kicks off. PD, I honestly don't think you can compare "we hate man u, we hate man u" (or any other club) with racial hatred, they're not even in the same ball park. Quids probably shouldn't have stooped to calling you a name, but you did basically suggest he was a bit racist, and I'd probably call someone the same thing if they called me a racist. What Quids called "hatred" was basically old skool fan rivalry. For example, Arsenal hate Spurs, Spurs hate Arsenal, this is an old local rivalry. Most fans today probably don't live locally, but will still say they hate each other. Dig deeper, and there is no actual hatred from most of the fans except a few hard core nutters, but it's just a throw away word in this context. "I fuckin hate Arsenal/Spurs/Liverpool/Man U...". Hating someone for the colour of their skin / the country they were born in is not even similar.
  2. Haha, I hadn't realised.
  3. What maxxi said. It was cool when it was Quid's little thing, but it should have stayed that way.
  4. Really annoyed. Rushed to Argos to buy this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1431764.htm#pdpFullProductInformation And after spending ?25 it comes out and it's just the crappy polyester dress, no ruby slippers and no basket (they are sold separately, but not by argos!). Feeling robbed, and hating world feckin book day!!!

I was going to post about this today but been busy. I think Campbell has made himself look a bit sily here, and players like Barnes and Ince have said it's a nonsense. People may have taken it a bit more seriously if he hadn't claimed he could have been captain for 10 years, which is utter rubbish. I agree that certain players would not have been picked ahead of him for footballing reasons (Owen), but in this day and age it's not all about football, and Owen was the golden boy. I think people are being harsh on Beckham saying he was picked just for his fame. I remember watching more than one England match when he was THE ONLY man in an England shirt running for every ball and trying. He always cared, which is more than can be said for a lot of the other players in the last 10 - 15 years. I like Campbell, but I think he'll probably regret this particular effort to flog his book as it's backfired on him, and not a single black player (that I've seen) has come out and agreed with him.
  6. People that put a hash tag at the end of everything. "man next to me on the bus is realy smelly #haveawash"
  7. Ooooo a Dorothy outfit. Might have to nip to Argos later!
  8. Yeah I watched that and thought it was well presented.

  10. Yeah, the nice bits. Actually, hog roasts is another one that I don't get. And can I just ask what sort of beards we're talking about? I've had a beard of sorts for years, mainly because I'm too lazy to shave regularly. I'm feeling paranoid! Cupcakes!
  11. Damn it, totally forgot to do this week until just now. Got the Saints/Pool match but missed the 4 3pm matches. Ah well, I've fallen so far off the pace it doesn't really matter anymore.
  12. Andy Grey too.
  13. I'd always thought tha but can't find mention of it.
  14. Wurzels = Great Munford & Sons = Not so much!
  15. I hate these enforced dressing up things. My daughter has no interest in dressing up and it just creates misery.
  16. I didn't know until just now that Alan Pardew made iver 50 appearances for the Hamlets between 84 - 86. I knew that Peter Croutch had a short koan spell of around 15 matches. Think he scored on his debut but not any more.

  18. Howard the duck. Highlander 2 Or something tasteful like the 1978 classic "I spit on your grave".
  19. I think it will very much depend on who owns the local franchise. My mate used to work locally (5 years back), and it was very popular. He then moved up north and bought a franchise up there. The guy who owned the local franchise at that time was not known for his fine organisational skills, and ended up owing money to venues and stuff. No idea if he's still doing it in the ED area.

  21. Very much more of the same. in a good way.
  22. Having downloaded it ages ago I finally got round to playing The Room. Enjoyed solving it, not too hard, but not so simple it's not worth it. Just downloaded The Room 2.

As I said earlier though, my issue with them was always very much about Ferguson. Great great manager no doubt, but also an off putting egomaniac. Wouldn't be surprised if in his next autobiography he claims he picked someone sure to fail on purpose just to reiterate how great he had been. Personally though I don't think Moyes is as bad as a lot if people are claiming and feel he should be given one summer and season after this to prove himself. Looking less likely though.

United are never going to fall in to a huge decline, they've just got a team that needs rebuilding. Nice to see SOME of their fans brought down a peg or two and realise that trophies aren't theirs by right, but certainly don't include RD in that group. My issues with United were more about SAF than anything else.
