  1. Agree with that ratty. I disagree with Mick Mack, and personally think it is absolutely wrong to leave young children alone be it in your home or on holiday. But they have lost their daughter, and that is a life sentence. I do think there is something quite unlikable about them to be honest, but that's got nothing to do with anything really.
  2. Surely the first 3 months is the period in which cosleeping is best for the baby.
  3. Personally I'd lose the maxxi system altogether. 5 points is too much, and it's hardly worth having for 2 points anyway.
  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22541130 Average attendancies. West Ham up by around 4k from last season.
  5. "harbingers of death and destruction?" Never had you down as a drama queen LD.
  6. Oh Come on LD, just because a bike isn't a car, an idiot on a bike can still hurt people pretty bad if they hit them at speed, and more to the point, they can cause accidents. I'm not a motorist or a regular cyclist, but as a pedestrian, I've come closer to being hit by cyclists than cars on a number of occasions (usually when they're going around stationary vehicles at top speed). This is like people slagging off all mothers with buggies just because a few are selfish idiots.

  8. Damn it, I want to be good at this game, but I'm bloody useless at cryptic crosswords.
  9. Most cyclists are fine. Some are dicks and dangerous. Most motorists are fine. Some are dicks and dangerous.
  10. My work filter is saying that site is "Malicious". Like most cyclists! ;-)
  11. It might seem that way (my wife has said similar when our girls have been all about me), but these things work in roundabouts. My younger (22m) girl is absolutely refusing to give me a cuddle or anything at the moment (cow).
  12. We havean old buggy we could give. It's old, but in good condition and very sturdy. I'll get it out the cupboard and give it a clean over the weekend. We probably have some girls clothes and toys too, but unfortunately took a big bag of stuff to the charity shop last week.

  14. Yes, thanks RD for running the EDF League. If you don't wish to continue, I vote for AM to take over, as he seems to take it seriously enough! ;-)
  15. Oh to be a Spurs fan! ;-)
  16. I don't have experience of this, but there is no way I'd take a 14 month old along for this, it will add stress for all involved, including you and the baby. Getting home to the baby will make you feel a little bit better I suspect.
  17. "and I cannot understand why so very much public money has now been spent on this particular one child amongst thousands who are missing around the world." Because the family have done a very good job of keeping this one in the public eye, the press love it, idiots read tabloids, the PM realises that being seen to try and do something about this case will win him votes from said idiots. That isn't even a dig at David Cameron by the way. Most politicians will do things that will prove popular, and trying to find a little girl who's name everyone knows is popular with a lot of poeple.
  18. If you can keep Bale is the key thing. Lets be honest, without him, you'd have been well below 5th this season. I do think you're a team on the up though, and a couple of good signings could make all the difference next year. Also agree that Arsenal seem to be a team in a very odd kind of limbo.

  20. The highlight is the end of each year. One step closer to oblivion.
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22576196 It doesn't sound like anything much.

  23. If you are thinking of getting married abroad, please don't be offended if people don't go. I had to go to Venezuella with wife and 9 month old for one of my oldest friend's weddings, and it cost a feckin fortune!!! And other than the wedding, it wasn't exactly a great experience. Last year we missed a wedding I was meant to be best man for because they went to Cyprus to save themselves money. I had a 2 week old baby, which provided a good excuse. This year I'm off to Brittany in September, and chances are the wife and kids will have to stay home because we just can't afford to go to all these weddings! Why can't everyone just get married in bloody Peckham!!!
  24. Red Devil is never going to be a Rafa fan, but to say he lacks class is harsh. The man is proud, but he has dignity. I think at times people think he's arrogant, and perhaps he is, but a lot of the time it's because he's clever and he's not going to go down the path that the press are trying to take him down.
  25. Of course you had a great day, you had a great band! ;-) I think the most expensive things are flashy venues and food. We were lucky that my best man's dad is a retired chef and did us a great bargain.
