  1. "and wonder what all the fuss is about with another very popular school." Absolutely this! We're near Eliot Bank in Sydenham, which is "outstanding" and very popular. Back when our daughter was offered a preschool place there I went along and just didn't like the vibe for some reason. Several other parents at her preschool (not there) have said they felt the same. It's clearly a good school, and all power to those who send their kids there, but it wasn't for us, and I think my daughter would have found it very intimidating. We just wanted her to get in to the same school as some of her little preschool friends, which she has, so we feel lucky.
  2. His younger brother Haroon is also on the card making his pro debut. Audley hasn't exactly been in any big wars, when he's been knocked out it's usually been quick and pretty easy for the oponent, so hopefully he won't have any long lasting damage like some past boxers who have been in absolute wars.
  3. Audley is back on the hunt for a title... According to Audley.
  4. Bit surprised there will be no appeal against the Suarez ban. Apparently the club left it up to him, and he's decided to accept it. Suppose he just feels there's no point trying, and it could even lead to a bigger ban. I still think 10 matches is ridiculous, but there you go. That's Liverpool buggered for the start of next season.
  5. I remember going to the MCG in 2006 and they only sell this low alcohol lager because someone was killed there once by a bottle thrown by a drunk bloke. It wasn't worth drinking, so we didn't bother after the first one. That's not what a day at the cricket should be like!

  7. My clubs better than yiur club ner ner ne ner neeer. About the level we seem to be at today.
  8. Nothing but sympathy for people in your position Emski, but I have also spoken to people who are angry because they felt that beiong given 6 "choices" should mean they can put down the 6 best schools and expect to be given a place in one of them. I have little sympathy for them.

I think there is probably an element of that. I also think that this will be a problem in any area that goes through "gentrification" (I hate that word) as ED has, because young families with a bit of cash will flood these areas, and you end up with too many kids for the local schools.

  11. 10 matches is a fecking joke! Yes he was a moron, and yes he deserves a ban, but I hope Liverpool appeal this, how can he get a bigger ban for this than they gave for the racism charge?!?

  16. Good work! I just did a google search of hardest ever games, and feel quite proud of myself too. I loved "Link to the past" (Zelda 2), but having played it recentlyish on my phone (where yu can save at ANY point, so it's pretty easy), I am impressed that I finished it as a kid. Also, I LOVED the Dizzy games, and have been reminded how hard Treasure Island Dizzy was, as you had no extra lives, touch one thing and it was all over!
  17. SJ, knew you'd say that. but I was thinking old skool. R-Type is a good call (all of them really). PS. Just watch the ending to that game on YouTube ;-)
