  1. Don't be a stranger ratty! Good luck to you.
  2. 0-3 was going to be my next guess too. Honest guv.
  3. No idea whether they do parties as well as weddings, but this place is amazing! http://directory.confetti.co.uk/supplier/586/wise-wedding-venue/
  4. I was robbed I tell ya, ROBBED!
  5. I never saw it either, but expected (and indeed predicted) similar to last night. A home win but not enough. The "best team in the world" are not looking so good now.
  6. Bloody hell!!! And they're getting rid of their manager for Pep?
  7. I'd leave my kids with a stranger if it gave me a bloody break!
  8. I dunno, he's never officially retired until now, and he's admitted his pride got in his way. Think he's finally accepted the unavoidable truth.
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/22367564 Audley has finally done the sensible thing.
  10. I'm from East Dulwich, and love the place. However, I moved to Sydenham in 2006, and have been in our current house since (Near Kirkdale) 2009. If someone offered me a free house in Sydenham or East Dulwich, I'd choose Sydenham without a shadow of a doubt. Much greener, nicer housing stock, good schools (and everyone at my daughter's preschool got their first choice). The High Street is okay, and you'll see a lot of change over the next few years I think. And to be honest, it feels a bit more "real" than ED does these days. Plus ED is 10 - 15 minutes on a bus which runs all day and night, so all the good bits of ED are easily accessible. My only problem with it is that Estate Agents are calling Kirkdale "Kirkdale Village" and trying to make it more like East Dulwich. I don't want that. Oh, and the pubs are proper pubs. Some people may find them intimidating at first glance, but actually when you go in people chat to you and are really friendly.
  11. Is setting up a charity out of the question for some reason? Or are there any charities out there who will let you do it through them, so they take the contributions, and make sure they go to him, perhaps for a small percentage which could go to their other work?
  12. Just giving this one shove to the top to maximise views.
  13. I see myself & JL had the same predictions. Great minds think alike! Or blurred minds, you decide.
  14. http://www.britaincares.co.uk/ This is the first big campaign that a good friend of mine is leading for the charity Scope, so in part I'm sharing it for him. However, social care for disabled people is what I do, and I feel strongly about it, so I am also sharing this for that reason. It is not party political, it is just a message to the current government asking them to think carefully about what they do with social care. When the Health & Social Care bill was in the news a lot a while back, it was all health and barely a word about social care. People's lives are saved in hospitals, but then they go home, and they need the correct support. Please share this on any social media outlets that you use. It's take you a minute, then it's done. It would be great if we could send this viral.
  15. If only that were true, I'd happily move next door to an Aldi Cheap house AND cheap food.
  16. "No manufacturing no factories a big fat nothing for any of us" And yet most of the people that come here find work, and work bloody hard at it, because lots of Brits think cleaning (for example) is beneath them.
  17. And for the record, I'm not saying a dive is as bad as biting someone.
  18. "Suarez, although he's had a great season too, he's blotted his copy book (again) of late and that rules him out for me." Agree, but if it was just about his football and nothing else, he'd be up there. Had Bale done one of his swan dives the week before voting, that could have swung it to RVP.
  19. Agreed. And even though he's chewed his way out of contention, I think Sauraz has been better than RVP this season, especially when you consider the team he has around him. I think he has more goals too, but I could be wrong on that score.
  20. I'm not getting involved in an argument here, but the OP mentioned Hackney, so I guess that was what he meant by that.
  21. Indeed, I wasn't trying to say anything negative about EB, just simply that I didn't feel it was for us.
  22. Dulwich Hamlet Champions!
  23. I don't really mind. A coin knocked me out of the FA Cup at this stage, but I can take it. At least I can then spend eternity saying I was robbed!
  24. I've just sent my predictions.
