  1. Yeah but bad language / Dissent are about a player's behaviour, whereas a dive like a foul has an effect on the actual game, so maybe that is the difference. (I don't know by the way, I am just guessing)
  2. What do you do when you catch them? Serious question. Do you give them a slap, or a stern talking to?
  3. I agree that compromise is required, I just wonder whether shutting stations is the best compromise available.
  4. I clicked on your name and got the same results as Huguenot, 389 posts as I write this.
  5. Haha, fair play for the honestly there!
  6. I've not seen it yet, but surely if a dive is a bookable offence, then it's a foul, so a freekick can be awarded against it. No?
  7. Probably tax deductible anyway.
  8. BBC Website saying there was a Garath Bale "dive" whichg replays are inconclusive about, and ask was it a dive or not? If that was Suarez, everyone would immediately say it was a dive. Bale IMO has got as much previous as Suarez when it comes to diving, but he'll probably get the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, on a brighter note, great to see Lucas back for the pool!
  9. Bloody Hell, it was 0-1 when I looked at about 2:05. Fair play the hammers!
  10. I shop so locally I don't even leave my computer.

Okay so the players were more "real", and not paid stupid stupid stupid money, and it wasn't so big business. But the weekly violence surrounding the game can't be looked back on fondly however much of a guilty pleasure "Football Factory" may be (which it is for me I must admit)!
  12. As long as it's not Everton I can live with it... (sorry Atticus ;-))
  13. Or ground down even.
  14. Don't worry MM, they are just worn by members of the NUS who smoke rollies and purposely don't wash their hair. They'll stop all that nonsense once they've been grinded down through the cogs of the machine for a couple of years.
  15. Gidget when I knew her she lived on Whateley, but not sure if she was always there.
  16. For most people they wouldn't be. All I know is that if you'd walked in to the Wishing Well on Bellenden Road say 10 years ago, and suggested to the regulars that it was an East Dulwich pub, they simply would have told you to fuck off.

Thankfully that bloke was not a regular.
  18. That school was originally on the corner of Northcross and Archdale Roads. They moved to the current site around 93 or thereabouts.
  19. Well said London Mix.
  20. Indeed edcam.
  21. The forest hill thing was meant to be a joke. The point is, we live in 2012, and no one except for you would conside Bellenden Road to be part of East Dulwich. It's not even borderline close. You say that post codes don't count because they came in around WW1. I dread to think what you think about Israel!

I think that that parish no longer exists and that we don't define our areas by parish anymore. The area now known as Crystal Palace (a big area with it's own train station and park) was once called Penge. Then history happened and it is now Crystal Palace. Forest Hill was once a forest, on a hill. Things change. Be proud of the lovely part of Peckham that you live in.

The Mag south? I can understand you not wanting to go as far as The Grove, but surely you have to go at least to The Plough / The Library (where Barry Road starts / ends).
  24. That map just shows that it was part of a parish (does this parish still exist). I don't think that means it's part of the area.
  25. So John, can you show us where it says that Bellenden is part of ED? Sorry if you've already done so elsewhere, but I've not seen it.
