  1. I dunno SJ, do we believe that players have so little pride now, that they'd sit back and let results run against them, in order to get a manager sacked? I'm no Chelsea fan, but you'd think they'd have the will to win of any pro sports person. I also think that a new manager can produce good results, look at Sunderland!
  2. It does make you wonder.
  3. You could let them get on with it. Have a beer, and stop worrying about things that are not worth worrying about. Or just be somewhere else that day.
  4. Good, and very timely win for Liverpool. Everton have been on great form, and it was nice to see Liverpool dominate a home game. Something they have sorely lacked this season!
  5. Yeah R_D, that was. well out of order!

  7. Ha ha, love that. "Enough already, lets stay on topic.... But she's a bitch" I have no problem with live music (obviously), but have to admit, that if I was in a pub for a pint, and a "singaround" started, I'd leave. No offence intended, just not my bag. Anyway, saw a photo of the interior the other day that a friend took. Completely unrecognisable. Doesn't look bad, but unfortunately, it doesn't look any different to places like the Mag.
  8. Fair enough, but he has been there a long time, and there have been a few in those years. I hate seeing dives, and admit that Suarez has taken a couple, and would rather he didn't. I just can't stand the holier than thou attitude of some people, who think that a player in their team's shirt would never do a thing like that. Anyway, why exactly are we talking about this AGAIN?
  9. To be fair to him, had another manager called an Arsenal player a diver (and it has been known), Wenger would have gone ape shit.
  10. I use one (free) called trainline, which seems to do the job. Also, "London Underground Free" is quite good.
  11. I don't game much on my phone, but World of Goo (as seen on Wii) is great fun. If you're a musician, there are lots of useful tuners and metronome type apps.
  12. ElPibe, you never mentioned Buscount Live, which you told me about. If you use buses a lot (which I do for work), it's very very useful, and free.
  13. I suppose because of experience you have to make United favourites now, but not over yet. Arsenal only 1 point behind Spurs now. I'm no gooner, but when you consider the mess they were in early in the season, you have to admire that. Chelsea not out of the running by any means either. Perhaps Harry is planning an end of season collapse, so it'll be easier to walk away from Spurs...
  14. Saying they would beat Spurs was a mind game, trying to put pressure on United to go and do just that. I don't think it's worth you losing any sleep over.
  15. I think the newish owners will stick with Kenny for the time being. It has been a pretty shit season so far, although FA Cup still a possibility), and I'm forced to admit that most of the new players haven't set the world on fire. I'll happily wait til the end of next season before making my judgement. I agree, and said at the time, that Woy was very poorly treated, and deserved better from club and fans, but unfortunately for him, he was seen as Hicks and Gillett's man, so he was never going to get a fair run.
  16. Took my daughter to see this at Catford this afternoon. If your little one likes Show Me Show Me, then I strongly recommend you go and see them on tour at some stage. I was tired, and a little bit hungover, and absolutely dreading it, but I actually really enjoyed it, and thought they were quite funny for the grown ups too. They also do autographs and pose for photos with kids after the show, and seemed like genuinely nice people. My normally very confident daughter got a bit star struck and shy. Saw the lovely buggie there with her little one. Was anyone else there today?
  17. Sorry, wrote that post having missed a whole page. Anyway, I'll be down to check it out, and I hope I love it. In a way, I'm glad the name has changed (even if the new name is a bit shit), as it never would have been the CPT anyway.
  18. I guess the Baristas thing could be a good move, if they intend to open for lunch, and serve food and good coffees, it could be a good bit of businness. As long as the coffee machine is turned off in time for the evening boozing.
  19. Before anyone comes at me with an axe, the above was just an example, I am not saying that if you don't breast feed your child, you are somehow less attached.
  20. I certainly wouldn't dismiss a person's advise on many areas of child care, because they were not a parent themselves. However, when it comes to talking about dealing with a newborn, I do think it's fair to question her. She may well have looked after a million babies, and know what she is doing, but she has never fed them with her breast, or felt that incredible love for them, that on'y a parent can feel. If it'd not your child, I imagine it's quite easy to distance yourself, and get them in to a rigid routine. Add the emotional bond, and it's a different ball game, which she will never truly be able to understand without having been a parent.
  21. I think what some people may describe as "better" (and I am NOT talking about Saffron) is probably more accurately described as "white middle class twee".
  22. Babies and sore vaginas aside, why would anyone want a book to give them a sex time table?
  23. Have to disagree with that, as I think by that stage, the powers that be at LFC were on damage limitation, and just wanted to start putting it behind them. Suarez is definitely a loose canon, but I'm not sure he is the evil spawn of Satan that some people have been making him out to be.
