    John Prescott

Good man, even if his views on class are a bit old skool. I am a big fan, and I thought he was treated disgustingly by the press towards the end of Labour's reign.
  2. Can't decide if he's a Gooner, or if he just dislikes Liverpool.
  3. At the end of the day, she's working with very small children, and as such, she should understand that sometimes kids will have a change of heart. How would she have responded had she been told a child was too sick to take part. In her defence though, you probably should have given a bit more notice, and maybe had a frank discussion about spending the money on new kit.
  4. Okay, having defended Charlie Adam the other day, I'm now eating my words. And as I typed that, Arsenal have scored what will probably be the winner. Liverpool SHOULD have won the match, and why the hell did Bellamy spend 20 minutes warming up?!?
  5. That email comes across as pretty mwntal.
  6. Bee Gees? Not my bag really, but I respect them. Crash Test Dummies!!!
  7. He introduced inset days too, good man! Labour, Tory. Tory, Labour... Meh.
  8. Have to agree that Parker has been a bit of a late developer. Used to watch him a lot at Charlton, and he was always good, but not in the same league as Gerrard. My opinion is that Gerrard is a much better player, but Parker is playing the right way, and is a good appointment when we want a fresh start. Disagree that it's about time, because I don't think Parker has been good enough in the past.
  9. I'm more than happy with that. Wonder how Gerrard feels.
  10. I care that people get in because of their "birthright", and because of religion. Especially when an old man starts expressing his weirder than ever religious views. Equally though, I think there are far bigger issues to get hot under the collar about.
  11. I text, but totally agree that if it's more than q couple of messages back and forth, I'd rather talk on the phone. What I really really reeeeeally hate is txt spk!!!!!!!!!!
  12. This made me laugh. If I was in a carpark row with someone, I'm not sure I'd admit to being from Bournemouth. It doesn't exactly sound particularly hard. "I'm from Bournemouth you know, so you'd better watch out". I'm sure the residents of SE London were positively shitt!ng themselves.
  13. To be fair, I don't think James was saying that at all. He seemed to be saying that the current situation is far from ideal, but it is what it is, and we need to live with it. So, rather than just moaning about the proposed opening of a Steiner school on an internet forum, perhaps we as a community should be exploring other options. It shouldn't be that way, the local authority should be in a position to make sure there are enough schools / school places to meet need, but quite simply, they are not. Personally, having read up on Steiner education, I started off thinking "that all sounds quite reasonable", then I got to the whole Anthroposophy bit, at which point I decided that El Pibe had basically summed it up pretty well. "Woo" indeed.
  14. But surely this sort of project is the kind of thing that will draw more and more middle class people to the area. That will price out the people that live there now, and before you know it, you'll have "Rye Village", complete with Organic butcher, cook bars full of annoying people, and lots of independent shops selling random stuff.
  15. Wasn't suggesting you were guilty of anything Fuschia, your post just made me think to make the point.
  16. It's a reaction to the tabloidesque hatred of bendy buses. Complete unnecessary waste of cash. Will be cool though. May eat in to the ?300m profit that TFL are apparently making (can someone explain why fares need to go up when they are making such q big profit?).

Men very often get forgotten about by both medical professionals (understandable), and friends & family when pregnancies go wrong.
  18. Beautiful as it is, do you reckon anyone will actually bother using it once it's done? Serious question, as I just can't really see myself bothering, so have to wonder if it's a bit of a waste of money.
  19. I think this is great. Except it has no doubt bought Bozza a few votes in the SE15 area.
  20. Info on support here Edit to correct link
  21. Since his ban, Suarez hasn't got his form back, but I think he is quality! Agree though that Bellamy has been a great signing, and I say that as someone who didn't really want to see him back at LFC.
  22. I think Adam is doing pretty well.
  23. Forgot to say (and hate to say), fair play to De Gea today, and bad luck Norwich.
  24. Carroll aside, what money has he wasted on players who haven't played their part?
  25. One player made towards him, but slowed and stopped about 10 yards away. Dunno man.
