  1. Well piss off back there then! ;-)
  2. That is exactly how I've always felt about this case, and I think GJ comes over as quite mature. Whatever happened on the day (WHICH NONE OF US KNOW) if there is an accusation of racism, it tends to stick, whether proven or not. Anyway, cheers for bringing it up again RD, I can hardly wait for UDT's inevitable input.

He actually spoke with The Mail, and I think he comes over well. That Telegraph article has just grabbed one bit and blown it up in to a "story". He has been quite open about things, and the way Liverpool handled it all. But he still stands by his team mate, which is fair enough of he believes he was harshly treated. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2111767/Glen-Johnson-Patrice-Evra-clear-didnt-want-shake-Luis-Suarezs-hand.html
  4. Looks like Arsenal are taking steps to replace RVP already.
  5. I remember Liverpool in a Cup Winners Cup tie against PSG in about 1996 where they went out having not done quite enough despite winning the second leg at home. I thought it was a cracking match, and I felt proud of the team afterwards.
  6. Erm, Stevenage seem to be a goal up (Penalty).
  7. No, I think Milan totally shut up shop.
  8. Indeed. Arsenal showed real passion last night, and deserve a tipped hat in their direction.
  9. Relegation zone.
  10. Christmas is way too mainstream, I imagine he has no part of it.
  11. No wonder UDT won't tell anyone on the football thread who he supports, none of us will have ever heard of them. To support a mainstream premiership side would clearly be beneath him. His side are so underground that they don't actually play matches anymore incase someone finds out about them.
  12. Somethings get popular and mainstream because, well you know, they're actually quite good. Surely to deny yourself anything mainstream as a matter of principle, is cutting your nose off to spite your face. What is wrong with just liking what sounds good to your ears, whether it's in the main stream, or the little known stream that only the cool kids know about?
  13. Dunno, but don't think it would necessarily be a bad thing. England can't lose, because they have no chance of winning really, so a caretaker coach can go with low expectation and see what happens. By the way, why does the BBC website continue to give a platform for Terry Butcher to spout his out dated drivel?

I couldn't make that point because it would have been taken as a dig, but it's basically true.
  15. Well this weekend Arsenal were the ones that nicked it. Still, Liverpool didn't put the goals away, and you can play good football all day long, means nothing if you don't put the ball in the net.
  16. Marianne Faithfull Alison Moyet Dare I say, Kate Bush...
  17. Exactly, where has anyone said the British were the only ones with a sense of humour? They're the only ones with a British sense of humour. Personally, I think Brits are best at sarcasm. Try some on an American, it's good fun. As an aside, did anyone see "Making Bradford British" the other night? Quite a good look at the variety of people who consider themselves (quite rightly) as British. Also not surprising (having tried the online test) that of 100 British Citizens from different cultural groups that they made to sit the UK Citizenship Test, only about 5 passed.
  18. My "Google Skills" that have so impressed you involved going to google and typing "Everton player dives". Believe me, I didn't have to dig deep. And no, I don't think ",diver" when I think Osman, my point was simply that it happens. You, as ever, just want to paint Liverpool as the baddies. Whatever makes you happy man. Christ, you must have wet your pants when Stephane Henchoz's hand blocked an Arsenal shot in the 2001 cup final.
  19. And in the interests of balance, and to show that, unlike some on here, I can admit that a player on my team can be baughty.
  20. Everton fan thinks Liverpool are the worst club for diving. Wow, what a totally unpredictable shock, I can hardly believe it. (I distance myself from calling fans and players scum by the way) Leon Osman Tim Hibbert I'm not trying to say that it's rife at Everton, but don't try to tell me that the fine gents who don the blue shirt are somehow above taking a dive. I admit that Liverpool players have dived, but trying to suggest that it's some sort of ingrained part of the football club is just biased nonsense, but not surprising. This little Hall of shame would suggest Spurs are pretty bad for it, but I wouldn't call Spurs a team of divers. And hang on, is that an Everton player I see in that list??? Surely not, as Everton players DO NOT DIVE!!! And PD, surely no Arsenal player would ever take a dive?!?!?!? Oh hang on. And there's more I hate pasting all this stuff, as I have not moaned about other teams diving, and as I said, I wish no Liverpool player would dive. But, for anyone to come opn here and try to say that their team would never do a thing like that, well, that's just bul!shit.
  21. I know PD, I said as much a couple of posts ago.
  22. And yet he wasn't sent off, and you won both matches. Atticus, pop over to YouTube, search for Football Dives, and you'll get loads and loads of players from loads and loads of teams.
  23. I don't like to see diving, and I'll admit that some LFC players are guilty, and I'd rather they didn't do it. Where do you draw the line though between going down under pressure, and taking a blatant dive? Many managers wopuld have a go at their players for staying on their feet, iof they could have won a penalty by going down when touched. Be fair though PD, you can't honestly claim that no one in an Arsenal shirt has ever taken a dive! Every team has players who do it, so it's a bit much going on about it, particularly when you've won the 2 matches, and no specific dive has really done you any damage.
  24. Surely these people have just forgotten, I doubt they do it on purpose. I've walked in to GG playground before, and realised I'd forgotten (I thenm ran back and closed them), but it's not so difficult to do, especially when you're knackered, and the little one is being a pain in the arse.

    John Prescott

"punch up"? Are you joking? Some cunt threw an egg at his face from not far away, that would hurt, and he responded out of reflex with one punch. Good on him! I admit I never heard the rumours of bullying, I thought that was Brown. I suspect most high powered politicians can be bullies though, or they wouldn't have gotten to where they got to.
