  1. Miss Mouse Teddington Momo Stuffy Tom I used to go for Momo back in my euro dance raving days, but now I'm more a Tom fan.
  2. I never said the police had never behaved badly towards black people.

If there was racism, I applaud Evra too, and I never even hinted that he should be punished for raising it. I said he should be punished if it turns out to be lies. The stereotype comment was directed at your comment about the police bashing black people. That sort of thing has no place on a thread about football thanks. Regarding Suarez, you're right, I know nothing of his past, and as I've already said, if guilty, then a severe punishment should be handed down. Having a past doesn't necessarily mean he's guilty of racism though, and I don't believe in condemning people before the evidence has been properly reviewed.
  4. Having read back through this whole thread, Pickle is the only poster who sounds like a reasonable person. If there is no fence, watch your children instead of sitting chatting! Sorry if that is harsh, but this thread has made my jaw drop.
  5. UDT you do talk some stereotypical rot at times. I've been loving Suarez as a player, but if he is proven guilty, he should receive a severe punishment. Equally, if it's proven to be lies, I hope Evra is punished for dragging a fellow pro's name through the dirt.
  6. We don't really fund this stuff. Council Tax is not the council's only income, and at times like this, when SEN kids are no longer getting transport to school (for example), I think we should be pretty grateful that some money has been found for play areas! Sometimes it's like people think Southwark Council starts and ends with (the relatively wealthy) East Dulwich.
  7. Who is going to ask them to show their passes? Or do you think they'd stop to show their pass after doing something "antisocial"? What an absolute load of balls!
  8. Hope Evra has it wrong, but he seems determined to follow up his racism claims against Suarez... Have to say (and it pains me), fair place to Alex Ferguson for his comments.

Having read back over the thread, I've cone to the conclusion that I am very happy to not know better.
  14. My mum used to take me there over 30 years ago, would be such a shame, and a disgrace on the part of Southwark, if it was to close!
  15. Happy Birthday Red Devil. Here's hoping your team ruin the weekend for you though...

    Buying a new PC

I'm sure Macs are amazing and all that, but for what I need it for (Which will include a toddler bashing away at the keyboard), I really don't think I require a top end bit of kit, just something decent.

    Buying a new PC

Even if I wanted to, I can't afford a decent Mac, and sorry Nette, but no way an ipad would meet my work needs.
  18. It's a bugger of a situation, but there is no way you'd be able to make this lady hand over some cash. You should perhaps arrange a more serious "accident' for the silly cow though ;-)

And funnily enough, my wife is a big John Lewis fan, and pointed out last night that we have ?100 in vouchers left over from our wedding (4 years ago!), so it's looking like JL may well be the place for us to go. There is a JL at the new Westfields in Stratford too, which is very easy to get to from Forest Hill, ON oVERGROUND & jUBILEE lINE.
  21. See now that would be worth seeing!
  22. Why would anyone want to exclude The Castle? Pickle, I hadn't realised you were expecting again. Congrats!
