  1. Sorry to hear that someone saw the need to send nasty PMs to you. No need for that sort of thing!
  2. I don't particularly care, as rarely down that end of the lane these days. For what it's worth though, I think it would look absolutely awful!
  3. Depends whether he finished with a punch line. Assuming he didn't, I don't see anything wrong with it, even if it is a bit odd.
  4. Months? I'm sure she's posted more recently than that. Maybe just on holiday or something.
  5. And Chris Martin had yet to develop in to such a feckin easy to hate gobshite.
  6. I've always had quite a thing for redheads. http://webspace.webring.com/people/gc/cybermeez/scully/scully37.jpg And PGC, your hair is lovely!
  7. How do you know Ruth's husband sits in an office all day?
  8. Ruth, I think that is a good compromise, and a good move.
  9. Biffy Clyro - Puzzle Snow Patrol - Final Straw (not saying this is a great album, but it was their 3rd, and the one that boke them).
  10. Hasn't aged very well, and perhaps bot cool to say you like it these days, but Jagged little pill was an absolute mega album in the mid 90s.
  11. taper Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Otta > > He is. > > Gilmour though is on the list of greatest living > Englishmen. Yes he is, bloody good guitarist too!
  12. Waters is a cock though isn't he.
  13. Appetite for destruction - GNR August & everything after - Counting Crows Hot Fuss - The Killers (this one fades after about track 6, but the first few tunes are good enough to keep it up there IMO). Twelve Stops and Home - The Feeling (Great pop/rock album, but everything I've heard of them since has been rubbish)
  14. U like to walk up to strangers in the pub, and say "I've heard you're pretty cool. tell me everything about yourself".
  15. In a strange coincidence, Mrs Otta has just called me to tell me our daughter has been given a place for 2 afternoons a week, at a more chreche / playschool type place, starting after half term (when she'll be 2.5). For her, it sounds a much nicer option than the nursery she was at, as it'l only 2.5 hour sessions, and all rather relaxed. Plus it's cheap as chips, which is always a bonus!
  16. I should add, that we took our daughter out of nursery (2 mornings a week) after only about 6 weeks, because it seemed to make her miserable. Do bare in mind, that toddler is already freaking out a bit, because this intruder has come and stolen his mummy's attention. There is a risk that he'll feel totally abandoned if you leave him at nursery for 4 hours... Sorry, not trying to freak you out. If it makes you feel any better, we're currently dealing with a bit of an unhappy toddler, who seems to love her little sister, but is desperate for mummy time.
  17. Well, as a dad, I'd do exactly what is best or YOU, your baby, and your toddler! You're the one who is home dealing with it all, and seeing the effect on the toddler. As a general rule, I have come to realse that it's best if I just follow Mrs Otta's lead on things. Obviously I'll offer my opinion, but when our opinions are very different, I'll usually bow to her, because at the end of the day, she's with the kids ore than I am, so knows about their moods in the day, when I (unfortunately) am not there.
  18. All round bad day for Liverpool, simple as that. It's done with now though, and I'll happily bet cash that we'll finish ahead of Spurs come next May.
  19. Cool, both downloaded. Cheers. I have angry birds, but yeah, she'd struggle with that at the moment.
  20. My little one loves Monkey Preschool Lunchbox. I on the other hand, want to throw my phone out of the window after the first 5 minutes!!!!! We also have some doodle ones, where she can draw on the screen with her finger. Also have Preschool Farm, which is okay. Anyone found any good apps for little ones (she's 2.5)?
  21. First time I heard "yummy mummy" was on a stag do in 2004, and that was definitely meant in a "MILF" way. Since then, it has becoe more derogatory, because people use it to describe a certain type of other that they dislike. First tie I heard "MILF", was in the film American Pie. Nuff said. I take my hat off to the OP, and to Josie for being honest about their feelings. Yes they may find themselves talking about poo in the future, but that doesn't mean they should aspire to it. As is often the case in the family room, a group of people take offence to anyone suggesting that they might not want to do things the same way.
  22. I'm going to put off buying it, until I've finished a couple of other games, and seen to my affairs. Oblivion took over life for a good while, and I imagine this will do the same. It'll be a shame to miss the kids growing up, but, you know...
  23. I've not read much, but the wife has read a shed load of books, with varying styles of parenting advise. To be fair, she is actually very interested in child development, so not actually reading them for advise, but rather because of interest in the research side of things. I just bumble along, but we definitely err on the side of child centred / attachment parenting.
  24. To be totally honest, I think people will basically go for books that best fit in to how they feel they want to parent. Not so much reading for advise, but rather for reassurance. At the end of the day none of it probably makes much difference in the long term.
