  1. She did with our second daughter in July. I couldn't really have stayed though, as had our 2 year old to look after. She did find it difficult the first night, and I wish I could have been there for her, and probably would have stayed had it been possible. For the most part though, my personal opinion is that partners should spend the night in the pub! :)-D
  2. I think I could live with that, if it was somewhere nice. They could start shipping people over to Australia again!
  3. Hello EDFers. My laptop has more or less died on me, and at 5 years old, isn't really worth fixing. We've decided to splash out on a new Desktop PC for the family. Main uses will be media (music & film.), internet (including remote access to work), and word processing. It won't be used for gaming. Budget ?600 - ?800 PC World have this, which to my untrained eye, looks pretty good, and has ?200 off. Can anyone point me in the direction of something good, for a good price? PS. I've never owned a MAC, and probably don't need to go down that road, unless anyone can convince me there is a good reason to.
  4. Thank God someone else scored 11! And even for my 11 I was guessing most of them. A friend of mine's wife has to do this test at some stage, and was saying how insane the book was. I hadn't realised it was this insane!
  5. Expected to yes... Personally, I don't think it's a good idea, but that's just me.
  6. !!
  7. Officially I don't think us blokes are allowed to stay now, as it was a pilot. They are very relaxed on the ward though, and probably wouldn't chuck him out. Bare in mind though, that there are women there who have been through a lot, and really won't like strange men being there all night. My wife was kept awake all night on a couple of occasions because a selfish couple wouldn't shut up. It's difficult enough to sleep, without people acting like they're the only people there. Not trying to say you'd act this way, but be warned that others may not be pleased.
  8. Would it not be easier to try the clubs box office direct?
  9. Bet you look good on the dance floor - Arctic Monkeys.

May I just say, fair play to admin for keeping their cool, and remaining so polite! Monica, did you really read admin's post, and take it to mean that the average user recommends a business 70 times, and that you were just 6 recommendations above average? If so, how in the name of God do you get by in this world?
  11. Ew! No. A reference to The 7 year itch, an old Marilyn Monroe film. Crabs indeed.
  12. Only 4, so 3 more until I can get "the itch"... ;-)
  13. Thanks for reminding me of my wedding anniversary! *starts looking fir present!!!*
  14. By the way, never meant to be patronising. I mean it when I say you're clever, and for the most part, your posts make a lot of sense, even when I disagree. In my opinion though, that post beggers belief. Not something I'd often say about you.

Why are you always so aggressive?
  16. Yep, I can't believe you described religious adherence in Ireland as negligible. Perhaps not as strong as it once was, but negligible? That strikes me as wishful thinking. Secondly, comparing Ireland to Saudi just doesn't work. There is extreme, and there is extreme. I know you think religion is a load of mumbo jumbo, and you're probably right. To think a country of hard core religious people are on the brink of forgetting all that, is unbelievable. Hopefully there will be change, and progress, but even the women who want more rights, are fir the most part, still devout, and will put their religion first.
  17. I would tell anyone knocking on a day other than the 31st to go away.
  18. Andicam's way will be quickest. Anna's way is fine, but Jubilee can be difficult to squeeze on to at Canada Water!

Under the video on youtube, there will be an option to "share". Click that, and further options will appear, one of which is "embed". Click that, and some code will appear l. Copy the code, and paste it un to your post on here, and hey presto, the video should appear.
  21. Christ, I just looked up that Human Centipede, it sounds absolutely awful. The sequel sounds 10 times worse!
  22. Now we're talking!

  24. I've never been a big U2 fan. They do have a few unquestionable classics, but for the most part, they're not really my bag. However, I heard this song today for the first time in ages. I believe he wrote this about his very sick dad, and it's actually quite a beautiful song. Bono is still a knob though!
  25. When things are written, humour is often lost. Personally, I think it should have been obvious to them that you were joking, but in the past I have been surprised by people taking seemingly obvious jokes seriously.
