Hi, I'm putting this in this section, because I'm after personal experience. Neither my wife nor I drive, and since having a kid, and with another on the way, it would be a whole lot easier if we did. I can't drive due to sight issues, so it's down to the wife. Can anyone recommend a good instructor, particularly if they've learnt in their 30s, and been rather nervous about the whole thing?

Our daughter has never had a dummy, and I am pleased about that. However, there were times when she was very small, when I was alone with her, and couldn't calm her. At these times, a dummy probably would've been a good thing. I wouldn't like to be in my friend's shoes though, constantly fighting to get a 2.5 year old to stop using the dummy.

I always said it was shit... Not that I was using the forum back then obviosly.

The previous 2 posts, from Jeremy, and Helena, are both pretty much how I feel about the whole thing. It just has an annoying studenty feel about it, kind of marching and flag waving without really thinking about it, and getting their issues somewhat muddled, which is a damned shame, beause it really is a serious thing.

I agree with Loz. I think there are different types of rape, and different types of rapist. And no, I AM NOT SAYING THAT ONE IS WORSE THAN ANOTHER!!! I'm sure there are rapists who just do it for the feeling of power, but equally, I am sure that some men think a lady might be in to them, and they can't take no for an answer, and they cross a line, and then things get very very nasty. I don't think in those cases it's all about the power. Then there are blokes who spike drinks. I suspect they are in it for sex rather than power. This is all just my thoughts, and not really based on anything I've read, so it may well be total bollocks.
