  1. Agreed James, but can you see Cameron going for that? It would seem to be against his entire ideology.
  2. I don't know, but surely if the paper has closed, it's staff will be made redundant?
  3. I was thinking more the tea lady, and admin support.
  4. I just would've been interested to see what they had to say for themselves. I do have sympathy for all the poor bastards who work there, and have done nothing wrong.
  5. Yeah, I was going to ask whether anyone would admit to having bought a copy. I admit to considering it, but they'd sold out.

I agree with this point, but whilst it is still very wrong, I don't think it's in the same league morally as the Dowler thing. What annoyed me a bit was the bbc ranting about the 7/7 victims' families having their privacy invaded. Not long after 7/7, they made a programme where they took the fiance of one of the victims to the home of the father of one of the bombers (unannounced) and filmed him confronting the poor man on his doorstep. Now that was an invasion of privacy, and one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen on telly.
  7. I agree with DC in that you can't beat home made. Damned shame the Woodman in Sydenham closed, as they did a fantastic roast for about 8 quid. Woodhouse is okay, but I think it's too expensive for what it is.

    Quiet room...

*removes fake moustach disguise, as it was making me look a bit like that Keef fellow in the WANTED poster*
  9. For me, it's the columnists that give a paper it's voice and personality, which is why I find pretty much every newspaper just makes me angry.
  10. How has he eaten humble pie? He's congratulated the paper for it's work on this story. That doesn't mean that everything else he said is suddenly untrue. Edit due to stupid predictive text
  11. Just seen the last bit of the thread, and seen MikeCG's name is indeed mentioned, my apologies. Still not sure they are the same person. Either way, hey deserves to be banned for being really childish and unpleasant.
  12. I thought the suspicion was that it might be Allfornun. Either way, I found him / her to be needlessly rude and aggressive, and suspect the ban (if they have been banned) is more to do with that.
  13. Ford are a business, and at the end of the day, profit will come first. If they feel that it's good business to take a moral high ground, then I have no issue with that considering the accusations here.

I suspect that what we have heard so > far is tip of the iceberg. Exactly right. Her claims that she's been some sort of champion of child protection, are a fucking joke!

    Smart phones

I've just got the Xperia arc, and am liking it a lot.
  16. Problem with that, is that you're nice and sane. These lads may be acting this way due to having arsehole olds.
  17. Same here KK, I nly got your PM this morning. Watched it with Jeremy and a couple of other mates. Jeremy predicted the points win for Wlad. Haye can have no complaints, I know he's going on about a broken toe, but at the end of the day, he had no answer for the jab. Big shame for him, and will be interesting to see if he fights again...
  18. In the cpt with a good spot. It's gonna get busy!
  19. Look out for me when you get there as I'm blind as a bat.
  20. Yeah I remember trying on some jeans in the back room, and there was a little sofa with porn mags all over the place. Very odd.
  21. When my wife was induced with our first baby, they had a monitor on her, and it basically just kept freaking us out, as the baby would move, and it would "flatline". I think it could easily make you over anxious.
  22. Huh? Christ, I've been working for the wrong councils all these years. Who knew.

  24. I basically agree with David on this, in terms of the private schools contributing. However, to argue that it has anything to do with council tax is, as has already been said, not really valid, as private school parents also pay it. And we wouldn't stop the child of a person on benefits, who is council tax exempt, from benefitting from the lollipop lady.
