    Slutwalk

And you'll already be dressed up to hit the bars after. Result!
  2. Perhaps you're right, but I'm sure I remember Frank Warren wanting him. Was 11 years back though, so not sure. After his first few fights in the U.S. Ring magazine was tipping him to emulate Lennox Lewis, so surely they must've seen something in him. Still, whether he had genuine potential or not, he's ended up as someone who is sad to watch. Desperate to acheive his goal, and prove everybody wrong, but just unable to accept that he's not good enough. I just hope he doesn't end up taking several more heavy knock outs. Derrick Chisora has slated him quite a bit, perhaps that could be a good fight... For Harrison, a chance to fight a World Title contender (not that he should've ever had the chance to fight Vlad), and for Chisorra, the chance to prove that he does deserve the big fights.
  3. He decided to go it alone, rather than getting involved with the likes of Frank Warren. I respect him for taking that stance, but equally, had he been guided by an experienced promotor, they would've made the right decisions for him, and you never know what could've been. He's deluded, and has an ego that he can't back up. A shame indeed, I really do think it could've been different. He wouldn't have been the greatest, but neither was Bruno, and he can at least say that he was a world champ.
  4. Bob Crow just likes a reason to open his mouth. Idiot.

    Smart phones

I've been tempted by that, but equally, I was thinking of waitin for the new HTC Sensation.

Or "Faithfull" by Marianne Faithfull. I actually enjoyed reading her stories about her days hanging with The Stones, more than I did Keef's. I did enjoy his book a lot, and he has managed to remember a hell of a lot of stories, but equally, he doesn't seem to really get in to much detail about a lot of it (probably because it's all a bit hazy). Still well worth a read though. And one sort of semi autobiographical novel that should appeal to ock music fans, is "Stories we could tell" by Tony Parsons, which I'm pretty sure was inspired by his younger days as a music journalist. In terms of "trashy" stuff, my favourites for reading on the train are; Harlan Coben (thrillers) Raymond E Fiest (Lord of the rings / dungeons & dragons type stuff... Geek) Charlaine Harris (Supernatural crime type stuff) Mike Gayle & Matt Dunn (both do what I guess you might call the male equivalent of "chick lit")

  8. Harison will probably point to George Foreman, and Bernard Hopkins as examples of older guys winning world titles... Unfortunately for him, they were world champs as young men too, and just carried on at that level.
  9. When you get married abroad, especially in South America, you do so in the knowledge that not everyone will make it.

I read every day, but most of it is not very challenging, because I find the rest of my life challenging enough. I read to get away from that stuff. I wish I'd read this before I started reading A Handmaid's Tale! Very very good, but christ on a bike, it's depressing!
  12. My first reaction was that it was a warm up fight for him. Bit crazy to think of a world title fight as a warm up, but he (along with Manny) is in a different league. I just hope they can finally get it on, earn a shed load, find out who the best is, then retire.
  13. Mayweather to make another comeback
  14. Just finished watching Series 3. Really enjoyed it, much better than series 2!
  15. Borrowed the Ghostbusters video game for xbox. Gameplay a bit annoying, and seems to take for ever to reload a checkpoint when you die. If, like me, you were a fan of the film though, it's quite fun.
  16. I honestly believe that there is some instinct that keeps you aware of where the baby is, so you don't crush it.
  17. My wife would love to be a full time SAHM, and I would love it too. However, we just didn't think we could manage financially, so she went back to work 3 days, and it has made her miserable. She has just started maternity leave ahead of the arrival of our second, and I think after this, she'll go back 2 days, which will be much better.
  18. We're a Show me Show me household. Another annoying one is that Mr Maker.
  19. Bean is cool. I like the programme, just not Mr Bloom. I think he is patronising.
  20. I know lots of you ladies wouldn't mind a look at his veg, but does anyone else find him very very annoying, and a bit fake?

    Friends Advice

If my missus went out with someone else before making the decision to leave me for them, that would tell me that she didn't really want to be with me, whether or not things worked with the other guy.
  22. I've just shown this to y wife, as we're having our second at Kings in July, having had our first at Tommy's. Very nice to read such good reports.
  23. I love it when people say they've had loads of PM's agreeing with them. We'll just take your word for it. I dont think anyone is picking on anyone here, but just let it go, rise above it, and all that jazz.
  24. Helena Handbasket is cool. Zeban seems cool most of the time, but to be honest, she seems to make a point of targetting HH's posts and it's all rather tiresome. Perhaps you should both choose to ignore each other (find one of their posts, click on the colon to the left of their user name, next to "posted by", and go fro there).
  25. This thread makes me chuckle. Everyone thinks their bit is best. What a surprise.
