  1. You are basically right, but to be fair to the drivers, their p[ay is shit and they get abuse all the time.

    So....

    So, you're not keen then?
  3. Louisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The clique strikes again! > > Louisa. Which clique is this then? I'm apparently in several different cliques, I should probably name them.
  4. But fruit sugar is a bit different to be fair.
  5. I had the same letter. Been with them since it was Midlands. Although I no longer live in ED, so not really a big deal for me, but yeah always seemed a busy branch.
  6. Christ, I must never eat another double sausage McMuffin. I didn't expect it to be good, but it's nearly half the daily fat intake. Chicken legend not so bad, except for the salt content. Mark Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > medium sized vanilla milkshake has 59 grams / 12 > teaspoons of sugar / 66% of recommended daily > adult intake. SMALL Banana milkshake (the type you'd get in a child's happy meal) has 31 grams. Thank God my kids still accept orange juice!
  7. They used to have an annual jerk off at Hornimans.
  8. Don't know when this map was done, but apparently I live on the turf of the Penge Block Gang. However, a Bromley report late 2012 said they were no longer an operational street gang, and a google search shows that they were only really known because one of their members was killed by another gang. I think basically they were a bit of a crap gang.
  9. I can't stand Jamie, but I think good on him for this. I just wish he wouldn't be so preachy to people at times, and can quite see why a single mother of 4 on a shoe string budget would be pretty miffed at this rich boy telling her she's not feeding her kids right. Oh, and what red devil said.
  10. Breastfeeding has provided the forum with one of the greatest ever threads. Search "MIND SHOP" and all will be revealed. It was great.
  11. Then you're being as much of a jerk as gillandjoe was on the other thread and I think you should probably put aside some time in which to have a word with yourself.
  12. People were stabbing people even when they could be stopped and searched. This is not nee.
  13. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Well we all have our views don't we hellosailor ? > I think it's inflamatory and aggresive to use > words like "jeering " . Okay you are just taking the piss now, right?
  14. I see where gillandjoe was coming from, and I can but dream of affording a house let alone extending it. But there is still no need for the shitty post. It's the bit about "completely unnecessary displays of wealth" which was completely unnecessary and making a lot of assumptions about people.
  15. This is ridiculous. But of course 8f we disagree that telling someone to atop being a jerk is cyber bullying, we're all sticking together. Even though I've never met LondonMix or owned a house on which 5o have building work done.
  16. Was it in response to this? gillandjoe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Some of you sound utterly ridiculous talking about > 'surviving' and 'living through' your completely > unnecessary displays of wealth and extravagance. > Honestly! Have some shame. Which is a bit unnecessary wouldn't you say? And cyberbullying? Really?
  17. "Somebody once told me on here that I should've joined ISIS. Random comment to them maybe, but so insulting to me that I stopped posting on the forum." Someone told you that wishing a load of people that held a different point of view to you would burn to death, was ISIS territory. And that remains true. Never intended to fall out, but why should you be able to say whatever you like (however extreme) without response? It should have been obvious that I wasn't actually suggesting you catch a place to Turkey and cross the border!
  18. Blah Blah, I'm not trying to start a row with you here, but your post reads as really patronising IMO.
  19. Agree with Quids. When I was at secondary school in the 90s, the most common racism I heard (by far) was from black kids from WI background slagging off the black kids from African background. I work in East London and there is a lot of tension between different Asian groups. But then look further afield at an extreme example. ISIS will happily kill anyone that isn't their particular brand of muslim. In fact a different type of muslim is more likely to be on their shit list than a Christian who in theoiry could pay them taxes and be left alonne (in theory). But yeah, in London there is a lot of anti islamic stuff going on, and there are also a lot of really thick and really nasty young muslims spouting hatred. My Jewish wife enjoys winding them up on certain Facebook groups.
  20. Think they tend to be on the premises.

No not shame on her. She did what she thought was best for her and her kids. That's how most people vote at the end of the day. Unfortunately for her she swallowed their line and thought they'd look out for someone like her who worked hard, because that's what they like to tell us.

Scruffy Mummy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > but I agree, a instrumental music > teacher is a highly skilled professional who > should be paid at least ?30 per hour. I also agree they should be well paid, and am friends with quite a few teachers of different instruments (unfortunately the only guitar guy I'm friends with lives too far away). But I would also add that there are quite a few out there who are not highly skilled professionals, and you should always check for qualifications. I think ?20 for half hour, or ?30 - ?35 for an hour is fair.
  23. Bloody hell, that's good! I was working for an agency when both mine were born, and I just got the statutory pay for 2 weeks both times.
  24. Thanks all. Amends Guitar I live near Twangs, what are the prices like? Agree 20 quid a lesson is very good.
