Not that any of this actually matters one jot to the OP. Sorry. -
King's college hospital - birth registration

Don't get me wrong, I was married at Southwark, as were my olds (and my wife's olds as it goes). In fact I was registered there as a baby too (but I was born Dulwich Hospital so defo the correct borough / district in those days). Very fond of the place, but the office bit upstairs is all a bit cold. Lambeth is the town hall, so it's just a more impressive building. -
Can you add memory to a Galaxy tab? That is a down side of all apple products. Also some Android tabs (my wife has a nexus) not able to add memory cards. That is a bif downside in my book.

Lambeth is grander though. More oak panels ;-) -
But I will say that having a tablet does make me wonder how the hell I ever managed squinting at a phone screen all the time, so it is a good idea. I am getting less headaches.

People go on about ipads being easy to use. I have an ipad, and I often find it harder to find the setting I'm looking for than I do on my Android devices. The reason for this is that I am used to Android. You are used to a Galaxy phone, so the tablet would seem totally natural to you. I am also not seeing the best apps only being on ios, as they may have been a couple of years back. I think Android has largely caught up. Only area the ios still wins hands down (and is the reason I have one) is for music recording type apps, where you're plugging a guitar / mic in to the device (via an interface). Android doesn't have these apps (yet) due to latency issues which no one has sorted out. But if you're not planning to make music, I'm not sure I'd bother splashing out on an ipad. Oh, and I only have an ipad because my sister gave me her's when she upgraded to an air.

We did the same when we had our first at St Thomas', registered at Southwark and they send it all to Lambeth. If I remember rightly we then received the certificate in the post. Second time (Kings) we just went to Lambeth as it seemed more straight forward. -

Hopefully by the time the paintbrushes are out they'll have realised what an absolutely bloody awful name they've come up with.

I work in East London and have regular banter with the natives about our respective bits of London. Now when someone from Beckton slates South London they really are taking the piss. Although to be fair, Beckton is their Thamesmead.

Exactly. But yeah I had a girlfriend from Chalk Farm when I was a teenager, and she thought ED was like a seaside town (her words).

Just a wish...(there was a baby/pram/child free pub in ED)

"Franklins - no kids" I've seen plenty of kids in or outside of Franklins. But also been there plenty of times when there were no kids, so guess it just depends on the day. Before moving to Ireland, El Pibe's kids spent many a weekend in the EDT ;-) -

Indeed, all seems perfectly reasonable. -
I am quietly hopeful that LFC could have put a good team together, and much as he's a club legend I'm pleased we can now move on without needing to worry about upsetting Gerrard. Whether Sterling does well at city or not, I'm happy he's gone. Just hope Benteke is a good fit, and can stay fit. And obviously hope Sturridge can get fit and put this period behind him...

If you don't agree with what the OP says > then that's totally fine and you've responded > here. Flagging it to those on the other sections > who rarely see anyone's point of view other than > their own seems unnecessary. You're probably right, although "rarely see anyone's point of view other than their own" is not a fair way to describe users of the lounge. And some things deserve to have the piss taken, even if it is a bit mean.

RE Smoking outside, I've noticed more and more places have non smoking areas outside. This strikes me as a good idea. I just had a couple of pints in the Bridge House (Penge) with my sister and my 2 kids. We were sat at a non smoking table and when I felt the need for a fag I walked over to a smoking area and had one. Had someone complained of my smoking there I'd have been able to point them in the direction of the non smoking tables. Seems to be sensible. -
But it's not just social media, it's their own propaganda machine. That is how they've painted themselves. They didn't get in because of the lefty thing though, they got in because after the referendum Cameron immediately started on about English votes for English laws, and just made it even more "us and them".

Otta replied to Mustard's topic in The Lounge
So the car is not parked in the road, but literally on your drive up against yourbgarage door, is that right? Who the hell thinks that's okay to do? Think I'd be tempted to do more than let the tyres down. -
Comparing to the Greens ignores the fact that a lot of people still vote either Tory or Labour and would view a green vote as wasted. I suspect had Labour gone with an identical set of policies to the Greens it would have won WAY more.votes than it did with the Greens. Not saying it would have won, that's not the point. Of course Labour need to be more realistic than the green manifesto (which is the manifesto of a party that aren't challenging for power), but there is plenty of ground between the Tory manifesto and the green one, Labour should look at that ground.
