  1. excpt it's not open Sundays/Mondays (annoyingly as I'll be close by this evening)
  2. Karter, you're beginning to creep me out as much as the wolf Well, I say beginning to..
  3. Look. Another senseless leftie* being irresponsible * as in, not a leftie at all
  4. Karter He has had threads deleted in the last week The fact that he keeps getting banned (double figures now?) suggests a bigger problem. Me saying you admire him because you like "the entertainment value" is absolutely nothing to do with "all about me". How many people get banned that often? And you want them around for entertainment value? That's about you
  5. Oh I'm sorry. I need to find 35bn a year now? Why?
  6. Trident. Boom.
  7. All about me? Bizarre accusation
  8. Do they? Just as weird as he is Even his most recent postings in the last week alone make him untouchable in my view But having read what he has written (removed by admin) in the past, be an admirer of his if you like, but I won't be talking to you.
  9. The "half a billion" figure has been bandied about as a cost to the economy of Wednesday's strike, by the usual suspects (government, mail etc) Let's call that what it is; an obvious made up lie, designed to scare people But if it were true, then clearly the benefit of these people working far outweighs any perceived cost
  10. But the Public sector individual who pays tax pays just as much and is just as aware of how tax increases impact on their lives. The tax deducted from their gross salary isn't moot to them
  11. I will say they aren't retiring 6 years early as you state They are retiring as their contract stipulates.
  12. I love how Huguenot is making it sound as if they are waiting in the streets to mug us as we go buy. Taxpayer pays public servant wages shocker. Who knew eh I haven't got time to dissect the figures at the moment but the seem a little...emotively expressed.
  13. Ooooooo. Four times more. Sounds scary Want to spell out how much in your worst case scenario that is likely to mean out of an average private sector pay packet. In real terms.
  14. do you even read my posts these days? I said exactly that "And yes I'm aware his salary wouldn't pay for a pension fund" And nowhere am I saying take all his money away. But if you can't materially reward employees in any meaningful way then taking a 50% increase yourself is a bit off As for the changing demographics, I think everyone is in agreement about that. Even the striking unions have agreed to changes for new employees and will almost certainly agree to more changes in the future. But changing the rules for existing employees is both unnecessary and ill-judged
  15. And if the guy in the car factory is getting screwed It's nowt to do with public sector. And yes I'm aware his salary wouldn't pay for a pension fund and well done to him for turning ford around, but the workforce should see some of the success too. But workforce are all too aware that it's one rule at the bottom and another at the top

    Killjoys

And yet you keep coming back, making a tit of yourself everytime
  17. The guy in the factory is bolloxed because he gave up on his union, not because civil servants have stuck by theirs You but the banker word in my mouth last time and when I called you on it you ignored it, so I used one as an example this morning. You bit
  18. Again, a teacher complains a bit and Huguenot gets all righteous on their ass A multi millionaire threatens to leave the country and not a peep But yes the money has to come from somewhere But an army of 68 year old teachers sounds ideal doesn't it. And for a bonus it stops young teachers getting a job And all because some people are jealous.
  19. I genuinely believe atticus. And admire him for it

Paulk = suspect Yeah, I said it ("but that's not very welcoming to a newcomer, so cliquey!") Newcomer my arse
  21. city will be pleased??? Sod them, I'm pleased!! Not that I care or it means anything of course (Adebayor on form for Spurs I see)
  22. .
  23. Even allowing the recent ish economic collapse, this hostility to public sector workers is odd To suggest that you are typical o public sector workers MM, is just wrong.
