  1. Worth noting that the bizarre landscape is UP is all real(pretty much anyway) The making of doc where they almost die on those rocky outcrops is quite something
  2. Other Pixar heartbreaking moments also available Entire first half of wall e Final scenes in toy story 3 That last one embarrassed me in Brixton ritzy
  3. Brutal isn't it? Stick with it too, hits even harder later on God I love that film

  6. Dunno about brining. Interesting read here http://www.seriouseats.com/2012/11/the-food-lab-the-truth-about-brining-turkey-thanksgiving.html
  7. Wait what now!!!? Dulwich mum is back?
  8. Well, ish
  9. Once again loz, those pics aren't for you, they are for friends and family spread around country and globe Chill
  10. If your job is managing communications/branding/customer relations then denigrating anyone is likely to cost you your job because you clearly aren't very good at it, racist or not. Dave in finance behind me at work might utter similar views, on social media but given he isn't present As a Representative of anyone other than himself I doubt there would be a shitstorm or sacking
  11. True loz, but some of us only post those pics for the benefit of family living far away Granted, that still leaves plenty of people just showing off but hey I've never heard of any snobbery about Facebook v twitter but all I know is I far prefer twitter because I can curate my feed. I found out about that woman's post on here before I did on twitter

"*scans pub at Xmas EDF drink, selects seat carefully* ;) " shall we scarper for a quick pint hmb?
  13. I did wonder. Has looked pretty desolate for quite a while now
  14. "Perhaps this is again another sign of how detached from the community DMC is!" no it's not - look, whatever time they pick there are going to be whole sections who can't make THAT time. Jeremy - how useful the meeting is is a seperate issue. If you think it has little merit then the timing is irrelevant.
  15. ies euphamism a euphamism? meta
  16. sort it!
  17. No it shouldn't be necessary to attend a meeting but I find the attitide of "how am I supposed to attend a meeting at 6pm- I HAVE A JOB" perplexing. It's 2013 and most people with an office job and a remotely sympathetic manager can be in Dulwich at 6pm. If they want to. people (with jobs and kids) will find time for christmas parties, shopping and a bunch of other stuff the world is full of problems that shouldn't be there, and shouldn't need people to get involved but it's living in cloud cuckoo land to suggest that simply mentioning the problem will get it fixed. people might be lucky and get a number of people appointed at DMC who will fix everything - but if people can't be bothered to turn up what's the pressure on them to do so?
  18. Nothing anyone is listing suggests they have read or understood the article
  19. Are people serious??
  20. "Majority of the early morning flights are only 1/2 full. " Intersting and completely untrue in my experience - where are you getting that from? "It wasn't like this in ED 18 months ago. " the regular ED flighpath threads every 6 months on the forum would suggest otherwise
  21. police station/MPs/Waitrose trifecta
  22. that's what I was hoping - I just didn't want to spend money on one of those to find it didn't do anything Cheers gents
  23. I haven't seen any good reviews of hybrid tablet/laptop. The requirements for both things are mutually exclusive in key areas - eg a laptop needs a decent screen size (even if only to accomodate a keyboard) , but a tablet needs to be sub 10" to be in any way light enough to use I had to update a website at the weekend - and that is normally the only thing I use the laptop for these days. But even this time I used the tablet with a text editor client Sitting in front of a proper desktop/laptop with screen/keyboard/mouse is definitely the only option sometimes. But less and less More often than not, the speed with which I can open a tablet and get something done/checked/viewed is far, far better than waiting for any windows device to get it's act together I use a bluetooth keyboard for typing with the tablet as well
  24. I've got an airplay receiver on each floor in the house and love the whole thing But the one on the ground floor (ie kitchen) suffers badly from interruptions/dropouts when the fridge and boiler do their regular throat-clearing. Anyone else get that? Won't be a problem after the new year anyway but just curious if it's common or not
  25. What's it air playing to? Ie which express/tv device you trying to send to? Assume you have reset it/them? Failing that, reset router Yes that is quite a "turn it off and back on again" response but that is first port of call
