  1. Ed is waaaay smaller than either of those areas. So interest will be keen I'd also be interested to know membership and posting rates on those forums Lastly, more of those thread were people dismissing the need for shops like that. But sure, in any small area a big name store will elicit a lot of interest in a section of that community. This area is no different no matter how much you try and gussy it up
  2. No Louisa, you imagine, and inflate what some people think. If people like that exist they are such a minority
  3. Geez why would people be afraid. Brixton has long been more expensive hasn't it?
  4. Team supported: arsenal Where from: co cork Reason: when I were a boy, it was a team of mostly Irish players with an Irish manager. Everyone else in my town supported Liverpool or man utd but I liked the kit, london and Irish players so....
  5. A bit odd this has all kicked off (albeit on a small scale) When I posted yesterday it was zilch to do with Arsenal and entirely to do with remembering the (cheekily!) dismissive post of red devil a couple of weeks back when I said Man Utd wouldn't win anything this year I have no idea why he has become so quick to talk about chips on shoulders or whatever but from my perspective start of season = time to talk about who will won't win the league Any team that has dominated 20 years + change of pivotal figure = keen interest from fans of other clubs wondering if the king is dead, boy It's scant comfort to teams who haven't won anything for years (people really should point that out more btw) but after years of Man Utd fans being... bullish about their success it's surely obvious that when they show cracks in the hull, people will take an unusual interest I wouldn't take it personally RD - it really is as simple as that. And if there is something wrong with that then I will happily listen. But sounding a bit like a 20 stone momma on Jerry Springer repeatedly yelling "you jus' jeeeaaallous! us' jeeeaaallous! us' jeeeaaallous! " isn't that cool
  6. Totally agree Jah
  7. Given a choice of chain supermarkets, morrisons beats the others for me Meat quality/ choice alone make it heads above the others
  8. I said a neutral time, not a neutral comment My post the other day wasn't timed to pour salt on an open wound Your response definitely contributed to the timing of any comment today tho But again, I don't mind a small amount of schadenfreude between fans. Some of that is oil on the wheels. I don't recall any bad blood between us? But telling someone involved in a direct conversation with you that your comments to that person are "none of their business" seems a bit off, no?
  9. Good points Alan Red devil. Not sure why you are coming across as a Manc parkdrive The other day I took a neutral time to suggest your team had no chance of winning the title. You responded dismissively If you want to suggest my team are equally unlikely then I will happily concur. But it would be nice if you didn't respond to criticism of man utd with knockbacks at other teams or their supporters. Because then it makes you look like... Well... A Manc parkdrive
  10. Oh I'm aware of my team, it's problems and faults, and it's position in the table. Don't worry about that.
  11. I say man utd will no away win the league Red devil says he's glad I say that One of us is less secure in their convictions today Plus.. Yknow... Hamstring
  12. Publican told me it was a fight between two women, and ended with a broken bottle. No mention of guns
  13. Glen. You trying to link the mugging with the game?
  14. I'm genuinely surprised that anyone can look at that graph and conclude it doesn't indicate anything to worry about
  15. re Morrisey pronunciation Morrisey fans being Morrisey fans, and the internet being the internet, that mispronunciation gets discussed in a few places without ever really shedding any light. Most common answer (amongst a fairly mopey bunch of contributors) appears to be because he isn't as bright as he thinks he is Although someone did point out that Mark E Smith does same thing in "The War Against Intelligence" so it could be a Manc thing?
  16. You like soul? You like Bowie? Then maybe these "forgotten" covers might be of interest to you http://www.antiquiet.com/news/2013/09/listen-to-milky-edwards-the-chamberlings-soulful-covers-of-the-rise-and-fall-of-ziggy-stardust/
  17. Interesting animated gif showing UK year on year house price to earning ratios since 1997 http://twitpic.com/de6o0q
  18. Really really good work done at our place, as well as being very good in the run up with responses and punctuality well recommended [email protected] (Laura)
  19. wrong section - I should know better
  20. Or just keep using xp. It won't stop working, it just won't be supported
  21. Not sure I'm believing the op is as on the level as it seems. Too many forum hot points.
  22. And for someone who likes to lecture people about how sad their lives are, Da Manager sure has a fixation "How do they know!? They don't know!! I will just deny it! Ha!"
  23. I don't see many people claiming they don't want to live here? I certainly have no desire to leave But that doesn't mean we can't talk about its ups and downs surely? Who is " up themselves" Who is "not allowing" tomskip to say why he wants? Strange responses
  24. Don't worry sue, kingy's literal response suggests you aren't only one
