Sure, if you want people to laugh at you when you are in pain, go to Kings.

I agree it's worth tackling spots before the problem gets worse, as that's when you get scarring. And of course, teens are famously self-conscious!

Steiner school - would you like to find out more?

Saffron, do you believe in gnomes? -
Re Goodrich, this is from Ofsted: "The proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals is below average.... The proportion of pupils identified as having learning difficulties (mainly speech and language difficulties and dyslexia) is lower than average, as is the proportion of pupils with a statement of educational need."

I don't know who Tony Rabbit and Havana are.
-
And, Dorothy, why do you ask? Are you trying to identify people? And if so, why?
-
No, just a concerned parent.

I would honestly recommend the Aknicare range - go to wwww.skinmed.co.uk to read about it. It isn't harsh or damaging, and it isn't even expensive. The science behind it is impressive, and no, I don't work for them! By the way, general teenage spots is acne - it's another word for the condition. Aknicare normalises oil production and stops new spots forming. As for 'no chemicals' - everything is made of 'chemicals'! Even us!

"They are professional, supportive and smart." I think you mean 'lazy, cruel and thick'.

Don't blame you for not wanting Kings. THe most evil people I have ever encountered in my life were the witches on the wards at Kings.

Goodrich has fantastic, committed parents and many lovely children and some inspirational teachers. They deserve better than 'below average' results.
-
This has reminded me that I felt just like this at one point with my kids and it really was nothing. How old is she?
-
Try the products from Aknicare - google. They have real science behind them and are recommended by Prof Tony Chu, NHS dermatologist and acne expert. Not expensive. This is for skincare. A GP can help with antibiotics. It is perfectly good to see a GP for acne. It is a real condition. various light therapies can help but are expensive.

"Would you like your children being taught that gnomes are real?' 'would you like a school based on bizarre superstitions invented by an out-and-out racist who thought black people spiritually inferior?' What do you think? -
Dulwich Hamlet Junior School- application to become an Academy
Emily replied to orchard's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I would probably support the Academy plan as schools don't want to hand their budget to the council because of the red tape. -

The trouble with Peckham and Nunhead is schools, surely? Esp secondary. -
Mugging on North Cross road this eve - duplicate thread
Emily replied to DeborahC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
ah she was so upset. Everyone buy a pie! -
two thugs snatched the bag of the pie lady on Northcross road at end of day and ran off down Lacon Road. Her bag contained all her takings, her phone, purse....everything. SHe was so distraught. Felt for her so much. I hope she's OK. She couldn't even lock up her van. The sound like the utter lowlifes who mugged Mr Ben on this forum at 2am. Awful. Please check bins and gardens in Lacon road in case they dropped the bag.
-
I am so sorry. They sound like the scum that robbed the poor pie lady on Northcross road of her bag containing all her takings, keys, phone etc and ran off down Lacon road tonight. She was completely distraught. This is awful.

Goodness me, Lee, you do write the most in the most appalling jargon! " terraced retail premises looking hard onto arterially busy roads" "axial walking spaces". If you could write in English it would be much easier to work out what you think is wrong, and what you want to change. I think Lordship Lane is very nice. The fact that the shops are near houses is extremely 'humancentric'. Do you think out of town malls are better? Another zebra crossing or two would be useful I suppose, but it seems a busy, lively place full of nice shops and cafes which is thriving despite the recession. I have grave reservations about anyone who talks about 'ambiguous zones' being quite human enough to decide how the rest of us should live.

Sure and Firm nursery - anyone know what's going on?
Emily replied to Jamma's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Agree with Dulwichmum, Sure and Firm sounds like a youth offenders unit, or some pervy organisation catering for men of specific tastes, presumably honed at boarding school.
