  1. I didn't even try Mick. Was thinking about that fixture today strangely enough. I didn't think it was part of the ballot as I'd read there were plenty of seats for games in Cardiff. I was also looking at the draw and if Ireland were to win their group (and that match is likely to be the decider) they could have a Q/Final v Argentina followed by a semi v England if they were to win. If they lose to France I think it's a Q/Final v NZ. But hey, we've got to beat them sometime.
  2. I'm just having a bit of fun Otta. I'm upset that maxxi chose to be abusive towards me but PD has done the same. I spent 6 months working at Upton Park and loved every day being able walk by the pitch, walk down the corridors by the managers office and the dressing rooms and finding out how much KB had difficulty in keeping a PA who would want to work with her. I hope they don't regret leaving there as it has history. I always see football grounds as being sort of churches dotted here and there around the country. That was like working in one. However I sincerely don't thing SA is as bad as some fans think and I think his point which you referred to about some managers not being adaptable is perfectly valid. When money allows it they may well choose another manager to take them to another level but that's in the future. Anyone remember Nigel Adkins? He was doing a great job at Southampton most people thought. He got sacked and the now Spurs manager took over. The point is that Southampton must have thought they were ready to improve on what he had achieved. When WH get to that point they will say adios to BFS.
  3. This is lazy of me as I'm sure everything you need to know is online. However, from what I've seen there are different qualification levels. Can anyone offer any advice? My son is thinking of doing one as he wants to travel and maybe continue his studies in China. This may give him the chance to earn some cash.
  4. He's probably started a thread elsewhere asking about you at that time of the morning.
  5. He called Poulter a 'lil girl'. Stupid but harmless. What will happen when Big Brother can read our thoughts?
  6. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/west-ham/11186527/Sam-Allardyce-West-Hams-owners-are-best-Ive-ever-had-and-deserve-this-success-after-not-sacking-me.html Sam in paper. ETA Nose FA predicted 2-1 to WH today.
  7. Yeah, you exist in a different dimension but you guys seem to expect to play like Barcelona/Real Madrid or whoever is the in vogue team. Now you are high up in the league you even seem to hate that because of your manager.Madrid change managers almost every season. It not about the manager alone it's about the resources the club has at it's disposal.
  8. This thread is inspired by my son who recently looked at a packet of red lentils and asked, why are they orange? I was stumped for an answer. Feel free to answer if you know and/or ask your own questions.
  9. I'm getting the impression some WH fans don't like Sam
  10. I won't bother writing what Fergie wrote about WH in the revised version of his book as he knows even less than me.........
  11. Nice piece from a Spanish paper. Along with Gerrard the Anfield crowd came out of the whole affair with a little bit of dignity. Spanish paper AS journalist Alfredo Relano singled out the stadium for special praise. England remains the temple of all of the great values in this sport ? and Anfield especially, but not only Liverpool?s fabled ground. Just one visit to Liverpool?s stadium can cure us, if only temporarily, of at least some of the tiresome tittle-tattle which we have to abide so frequently in this country. Football has always been a game of beauty, but it?s even more beautiful when it is viewed with the respect shown last night on Merseyside.
  12. I travel in before 7am and back before 5pm. I'd say that the service is reliable 95% of the time.
  13. At long feckin last............900
  14. I think you'll find you'll get a reduction by phoning to cancel the renewal. As DaveR said the comparison sites are good.
  15. I scrapped one about a year ago via a company who collect. They offer you a price and transfer the funds into your account. I was surprised how much they paid for quite an old car. Unfortunately I can't remember who it was with. But you could always do a search.

She didn't think given the price of the drinks an additional charge should be paid.
  17. I know f**k all. I confess. Most unusual for a team to be doing well and a fan wanting the manager to be sacked. That's your right. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me but then again I know f**k all. ETA No need to be so rude maxxi
  18. I considered it a bad move to sack him for a long time. Perhaps Shearer is me-like as I haven't heard his opinion on the subject. It's you WH fans on here who should be eating a bit of pie/cake. Did anyone see the picture of Steve Bruce taken on the tube yesterday after the game? Trying to catch a train to Manchester to get to BFS's party.
  19. I love the names of the songs. Quite an album in the making there.
  20. Who are the other 5 in your top 6 ????'s?
  21. Regarding the service charge,my colleague refused to pay it so I take it that it's optional.
  22. Van Morrison & The Chieftains
  23. I know there was a good footie match on but I couldn't keep my eyes off Munster's match v Sale. They were well down at half time but I lumped my winnings on MC v Spurs having more than 2.5 goals on them winning. I only got 3/1 but it was worth it given how the match ended.
  24. In other words it's best abide by the rules so you don't get caught however unfair it might seem.
