I've never once seen a jogger wait between parked cars. Maybe it's because we get there first to avoid them. When someone is running towards you, you've no idea if they're going to change direction. If you're young enough to be able to jog, it shouldn't be such a big deal to run into 'the road or mud'. That's what we have to do and we're getting on a bit. If joggers don't see that it they who should make a diversion to avoid pedestrians, then they really are just selfish and unaware humans.

Our route to either park or the Horniman, involves moving from path to road and back again regularly. That's just getting there. I'm actually beginning to hate joggers, which is a strong word to use. I really don't care if the chances of catching something is small. Small is too big in this instance.

Rather than starting a new thread to ask a question, I'm intruding in this one. Given the rules, would I be breaking them by driving to Kew Gardens for exercise occasionally? We have some lovely open spaces in ED but I find them uncomfortable to be in due to the constant vigilance required to maintain social distancing and the numerous joggers who don't give a hoot where they run or how close to you they get. Kew Gardens is so big, it's an excellent place to avoid people. What do you think?

Just to add that a referendum would decide it, not the Dublin government.

2400...........is a lot more than the points I've accrued!

I've been trying to give away the 3 volumed 'History of Irish Tennis' on this forum for the last 5 years, without success. I can't chuck them though as they amounted to many years work by someone I know, and they are an exceptional piece of work on that topic. They're too big to post to anyone, or at least it would be too costly. Any takers? I found an old 1998 rugby international programme, which I was able to use to generate questions for a section in a nearly weekly tri nations pandemic Whatsapp quiz. I'm not very good at decluttering, I think.

How many have 'achieved' that 'award' in the past?
-
Well I was sorry I didn't back them (apart from a small handicap bet). I'm hoping for another away win today.

Good lad. I was in several minds about doing this again, which is why I left it so late...
-
I've left it late to start a new game for this year's 6 Nations. Previous players should receive an invitation to join the EDF Pool. Any new players wanting to participate please see below. The fixtures are: Today Italy v France 14.15 England v Scotland 16.45 Tomorrow Wales v Ireland 15.00 ------------------------------------------------------- > Anyone interested in playing this game, you can > create an account by going here > https://www.superbru.com/home/index.php > > Find the 6 Nations predictor game and then the > pool named as above. Are you sure Hancock has one, when he's broadcasting from his toilet? He's looks like the sort of boy they're mean to, and maybe told him he can't have a flag!

With my limited musical knowledge, I thought it was going to be this song.... -

This was written by a Republican who voted to impeach Trump. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1349959275922206721.html

I'd bet the UK decided to leave agreement that late in the day, so no one had time to examine it.
-
Hopefully it will come out in the wash how deep the attack on the 6th went. From what I've read there were multiple 'tours' of the building given to outsiders the day before, by GOP representatives. If that's the case and they were reconnaissance missions, those reps should end up behind bars.
-
If you were parked illegally, that's one wrong. What's the other one? It's not getting caught is it?
-
Conviction needs a 2/3rds majority. 17 republicans need to vote for it in the Senate. Not the best time for America to be distracted by this, but not much choice.

Time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of sh*t happening soon. I've read so many things that would be a cause of worry if they were true. Some GOP representatives are apparently of the same mindset as Trump. A little thing like refusing to go through the metal detector on entering the House, only acts to undermine its authority. It's sending a message.
