I read your post bond and what happened to you wasn't nice. I'm curious though, as apart from the dog story you make two references to reactions you got which you seem to think were due to the colour of your skin. Can you be so certain that you are right about them or could it be you misconstrued the reactions? It would be a good thing if you didn't have to think like that is all I am saying. I happen to be white but am well aware of how a female in a quiet street might feel about my being behind her or approaching her given we live in a large city where most people are strangers. I'd usually cross the road to ease her possible discomfort and my definite discomfort. I don't like it as I'm from a small town where that would seem ridiculous. But I live in a city where crime is not unusual. Just wondering.

Well that explains it. In this case Spurs still had the ball so he stopped play to punish them and Bale. If Fulham had the ball I presume he could have waited to give the card.

Still not a foul though. A foul has to involve another player. There was no question of Bale having fouled the Fulham player.

Not all bookable offences are fouls though. Think of abusive language for eg. I'd have though the ref would have let play continue and at the next break in play go back and book the player.

Bale booked for diving again. I didn't think he did but what puzzled me from watching the highlights is that the ref appeared to stop play and give a free kick against him. What law/rule covers that?
