  1. I wouldn't say that's the fastest though. I suppose it depends on where in Surrey you want to go. I used to drive to Esher on a daily basis and went cross town. It was so long ago I don't remember the specific route but if you look at a map, see the different places you could join the A3 and work your way back. However, if you are a relatively new driver doing what Lindsay suggested might be your best and safest option.

    That's neat.
  3. I'm curious how the word 'mate' can mean so many things.
  4. Yeahhhhhhhhh
  5. Well you might not like rugby but one person does!
  6. It wasn't advice gg. It wouldn't work if it were 3 doors/windows down anyway. It was just an anecdote. I ended up phoning the noise pollution police who are very good. But I'd ask the nearest neighbours what if anything they are doing about it first. Love to know how you know their evenings are drug fuelled?

  8. Find a man to take her in is an option I suppose. To be PC I should add 'woman' as well. Well, get advertising. There's a section on the forum for just that sort of thing, I think.
  9. If you really want to understand crows read 'The Truth about Crows' by Robin Hasben. Amazing story about how he was a crow in a previous lifetime and gives an insight into how a crow thinks, like no other so called expert.

    Wrong thread?
  11. Do I need to read the whole thread to understand this or could someone explain what it means briefly. Thanks.
  12. Well, when I had this problem with next door neighbours who had a party without giving us any notice I entertained myself as follows. I found a stick, some string and a tennis ball. I opened the window on the first floor and bounced the tennis ball off their window. I did this at irregular intervals. I'm sure I must have spooked them as when they looked out (as I'm sure they must have), there was nothing there to explain the thud on the window. PS I'm not making this up.
  13. Obviously a hot topic amongst the ED glitterati but I thought I should put it down in words. A grave injustice is being done to London Welsh rugby club. They are very likely to win the championship but be denied promotion as their stadium doesn't meet the standards required by the Premiership. They have reached an agreement with Oxford to use their stadium which meets the criteria of size but are being rejected on the grounds they can't control when they can play there. There are already 4 Premiership rugby clubs in that position, as they use football stadia for their games. This seems grossly unfair and I call on the EDF to take up the cause with as much gusto as if it were Iceland offering to move from LL. Over to you.

I'm going for Irel............France, as a good outside bet.
  15. What about a day of pram spotting in East Dulwich? She'll need one I presume. You can take a notepad and pencil which can be purchased fairly cheaply for jotting down the brands. To make it even more fun you could each give them star ratings secretly and compare notes at the end of the day.
  16. I don't think I've ever met ever anyone who regretted where they were born and certainly no one who wished they were born English.

Oh dear, two edits UDT. Fine tuning I suppose.
  18. What goes on in the mind of John Terry? He didn't win the CL for Chelsea and you could say he nearly lost it for them in the SF. But does that stop him getting kitted out and collecting the cup? No, but it should have. It wasn't his party to gatecrash. Well done WH on getting up. Maybe Sam will get some credit now.
  19. Gagagagaga................nope I can't
  20. Or a bit slow. Might have been the previous Friday.

  22. Wonder if JT will go up to collect a losers medal?
  23. I've heard people speaking deeply and meaningfully about the Olympic torch landing in the UK and what it supposedly means. People will run around the country holding it up. How is this important and what's the point? Listening to some comments I've almost thought wow, this is big. Then I thought, it's just someone running around holding a torch. If it does symbolise something worthwhile isn't it whatever that is that's important? Not that I'm saying it is important. Whatever it is. What do you think?
  24. @UDT, you don't appear to understand CM's comment. At least you are consistant.
