This morning I was driven around the most obscure of East Dulwich backstreets in search of remnants of Streamline Moderne. Zilch. The Grove Vale building seems to be the sole survivor and we should treasure it.

  3. The B2C law changed at the beginning of this month. It's probably a good idea to do some reading before progressing further.

There are 21 references to the Isle of Man in the Legislation. Gibraltar is at Schedule 6 of the Legislation. Never trust a UK government web-site summarising the law. Especially not HMRC.

I went to West Dulwich this morning. A little disappointed the banners are so flimsy and won't last very long. I could not get a decent shot at the West Dulwich vermin.

Lots of unsubstantiated information above signifying nothing. This is what counts: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1981/61

Most of the Camberwell Borough Council pre-1945 housing stock was funded by 60-year Municipal Bonds.

  10. These are street advertisements if they are not for hire, even when they are parked in an approved bay.

  12. I had to look up the meaning of velocipede. It was not defined in S100 of the Local Government Act 1888. It appears to mean a wheeled vehicle that is capable of transporting a human and is powered by a human but not through a transmission chain. Scooters, skake boards and roller skates appear to be examples of velocipedes. Can anyone elucudate?
  13. Is the Oakhurst Grove one a fully liveried Zip-Car that is suspected of being used as advertising? Mr Barber (IIRC) had some success in having advertising vehicles remove from East Dulwich Road.

Unidentified radio commentatrix said Mrs May got the election date wrong. She should have selected 15 May when the university and polytechnic students would have returned home.

This does not appear to be in the legislation you quoted. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1994/13/contents
  20. So, it is illegal. Thanks for the clarification Mr Barber.
  21. Interesting opinions. Is it illegal as stated in the cyclelaw reference?
  22. The www.cyclelaw.co.uk URL above says this: "Cycling on the pavement is currently illegal in UK law."

Thanks for these leads, Ian. I'll follow them up at the weekend. I may even find out which Southwark Council employee was responsible.

  25. Thanks for the information on locations. No map (?) so I'll need to do a tour of West Dulwich and Norwood.
