  1. Hi T The CC meet is on 26/11 at Tandoori Nights - will you be wearing The Boots? :)) We might organise an informal somewhere further afield before then.
  2. Excellent venue for the 6 nations and warm up games. Proper sport.
  3. Many thanks for your suggestions concerning how we should put more posts up in other areas of the Forum about the drinks for those who cant find the Lounge. If somebody would like to do that. Feel free.
  4. No, no, no, no. Its a man-secret. Boys and Gels arent allowed to know. Shshshshshshshsh .........
  5. Thanks Tony - you are a great comfort in my time of suffering. Did I tell you about my sore foot? Jesus Christ himself has no idea of my pain.
  6. Tomorrow is the Birthday of the Blessed Dulwichmum. It is a public holiday in ED. Dulwichmum will be handing out silk purses full of gold coins to the poor Bankers of the area and washing the feet of all and sundry drying them with one of her wigs. Congratulations on your 63rd Birthday Ma'am.
  7. I am too ill to be navigating my way round bed posts. Women have no idea about suffering.
  8. I think that economic regeneration follows fixed track transport linkages, economic regeneration rule number 1. Peckham will never get off its arse if it isnt properly linked to the rest of the city. Old buildings are somewhat useless when there is no money in the town itself. What comes first, buildings or people?
  9. Thats a comfort ... I think I may be having an out of body experience, or is that the hot-toddy and 400mg Ibuprofen tablets? What is the point of having a flu vaccine that give you the flu?and YES! I do know how vaccines work, but it isnt supposed to go beyond a sore arm. I dont remember getting small-pox when I had that jab.
  10. Old Percy could do with a Pram though. I have seen him in the Spa Supey in the Midlands village that he lives in, trying to buy some booze and shepherd his then small son ... badly. Rock God - yes, Child-minder - not really.
  11. I had man-flu (for all the sympathy it got me), had the Flu-jab and blow me it brought the man-flu back! Temperature and everything. I hardly have the strength to push the button on the remote, turn the kettle on, slip some bread in the toaster and heat Heinz Tomato soup in the Microwave. Although, if I do these things separately I can just about manage. "Mother, is that you Mother?"
  12. Right thats it, as a special treat to the ladies I shall be attending this Friday's drinks in my Speedos.
  13. We missed it twice then Tony! I am looking forward to President Obama's first state visit to East Dulwich. Who keeps the bunting?
  14. I like the Mirash - it is a very traditional curry house, probably now the last of the old-fashioned style Indian restaurants left in the area. There are no bad Indian restaurants in the area, its an issue of personal taste. The great thing is that you can try each one, guaranteed of an acceptable meal and then chose your own favourites.
  15. Oh yes .... and the constant flow of "What's the best Indian/Chinese restaurant/take-away?" threads. Use the search function or come to the curry club.
  16. I avoid the Football thread (apart from the occasional dive in to mention the word "Soccer" to set the Soccer-Fans a-twittering), the gaming thread (for obvious reasons), anything to do with lost cats (just pinch somebody elses cat - thats what everybody else is doing, isnt that clear by now?), Scrabble threads (I cant spell, I dont need a board game to prove it), school related threads (send them to the nearest, its more convenient) and any worthy cause threads (Panda's are an evolutionary dead end and should be allowed to become extinct with dignity). I like anything that ends in a drink or a curry, purile banter and curtain twitching gossip. I enjoyed the Quiet Room until we ran out of funny and original ideas.
  17. Does that make me Billie Piper? Does that means I am also Belle Whatsername? A high class hooker? Moi? Lookin' for love Mister?
  18. Darling DM, at your advancing age one needs plenty of sleep. Arent we another year down at the end of the week? Is it a special one? I this when you get your reduced price bus pass?
  19. Harumph ....... the Werewolf was very realistic.
  20. Ladies dont like beer. Makes them giddy. Malcolm likes Timothy Taylor. Open and shut.
  21. KEEF! SUE! Over to you, surely?
  22. "In our household a chubby toddler is being dressed as a pumpkin, pumpkin pie will be scoffed and sweets will be offered to small children who come by dressed as witches, wizards, skellingtons and so on. Apologies for the lack of appropriate ED irony, but I suspect we'll have a lot of fun" MOOS - I have already told you that I do NOT find being kidnapped and dressed as bloody PUMPKIN funny. If I have to throw bite sized Mars Bar at anymore denizens of Disk-world I will not be held responsible for my actions..... ... and take this sodding nappie off me, I feel like a right pillock ... and NO I do not want another Fruit-Loop, give me BEER. I need one.
  23. I cant take this, I am off to a London bar.
  24. Actually no, not yet. How are people fixed for the week after next
  25. Aint got one, aint buying one. No Victorian bone-shaker for me than you very much.
